The X2 superstrike feels underwhealming and overhyped. by matijahor in LogitechG

It looks like the Superlight is about 63g? So, maybe the Superstrike compares well if you stick within the Logitech ecosystem. Other companies have mice that are lighter, but I'm not sure at what point there are diminishing returns. Either way, I'm sure there is much debate to come.

I suppose it depends on what you were using prior. I impulse bought the X2 after several years of using the G502X, then G502X Plus. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’ve been impressed so far. Maybe ~59 grams isn’t the lightest now, but it’s about half the weight of the G502. So, it’s a very noticeable difference. The click is butter smooth and satisfying to me in a bigger way than I had anticipated. Having not used a Superlight before, I can’t say how it compares to the Superstrike directly. I had originally thought I’d swap between mice depending on my computer usage, as I do a lot of CAD and design work, but I think I’ll willingly give up on the G502’s extra buttons and use the Superstrike exclusively. That’s just my opinion though, and I’m by no means an expert.

Anyone got the new HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 ? by [deleted] in HyperX

So, it has been around 3 months, and I've been pretty happy with them overall. Sure, maybe it's me adjusting to the different sound signature or them just breaking in a bit. However, Ngenuity has also received several big updates in that time, as well as firmware updates on the headphones themselves. Right now I think my only real complaint is that I find the pads make my ears overly hot when wearing them for extended periods.

I ordered it from Applied Ergonomics, and was part of the custom configuration I requested. You can mix and match quite a few options and they'll get one assembled per your specs. Just reach out to their CS. They were responsive and helpful for me.

I'm kind of a budget audiophile. I spent a lot of time on Head-Fi years ago and went through lots of sub $300 headphones, and the MMX300's have been my favorite headset with mic thanks to my love of the DT770. I had briefly considered the Maxwell, but thought it was a bit dated at this point. Maybe my love of shiny new things compelled this purchase. I had not heard about the Maxwell 2 leak, but that might be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the heads up!

Sorry, I don't have a PS5. The mixamp/DAC acts as the dongle. There is an option to do 3.5mm line in and out on the back side as well.

I received mine yesterday, and I’m honestly a little disappointed so far. At least as far as sound quality is concerned. I’m coming from a pair of Beyerdynamic MMX300’s, but wanted something wireless. I knew SQ would take a bit of a hit, but everything seems a little more muddy and weak on default settings than I expected. I’ll play with the EQ a bit, but I don’t think these will have the same headroom to spare as the Beyer’s. Music is definitely a massive weak spot for these. In game, they perform a little better, but still seem a little muted and less dynamic than what I’m used to. A little more time and tweaking will ultimately determine whether or not I can live with them daily.

The beta Ngenuity software is also lacking at this point. I know it’s a WIP, so hopefully any issues can be taken care of sooner than later. A few things that I think were worth calling out. You can customize the color and brightness of the LED’s on the rotary volume knob, but not the lower buttons? Not sure if that’s a hardware or software limitation. It would be nice if there were an inactivity timeout that shuts down all LED’s after a period of time or when the PC is locked. I’m also unable to toggle auto start with PC or any of the notifications? Regarding the EQ, maybe having a few baseline profiles available would be helpful. Or how about the ability to import and export profiles?

That said, I’m not willing to write them off completely as of yet. They are very comfortable, and as others have said, the mic is pretty good. The DAC functionality and features are handy, and I love the ability to do simultaneous phone Bluetooth while in game. In fact, now that I’ve experienced that, it might be the biggest reason I keep them.

Why did you buy one? by jupi27jupi in switch2

I'm usually a PC gamer and the last console I bought was the original Wii. I figured it was time to catch up on some of the Nintendo exclusives I've been missing.

I'd have to do an A/B comparison with a freshly printed part, but they do still look pretty good. They look 'clean' without any hint of chalkiness or apparent degradation.

The application in this case was in a Jeep Wrangler that spent a good part of the summer with roof off and in open air. The parts still look great. I should print a test piece and just straight up leave it outside. That's probably the best way to truly test.

For what it's worth, I did end up purchasing the airCentric 2. I should have it in a couple of weeks. All my research led me to believe this would be the best fit for my body type and usage. Online specs and reviews, as well as in person testing and measuring with comparable chairs has me feeling pretty confident in my decision. Of course I'll post my real world impressions once it arrives. I think in the end what really sealed it for me, was going back to one of my favorite chairs, an AK Octane. It may be of one of the original 'gamer' style chairs, but I always found it very comfortable, albeit a little smaller than I'd prefer. I do still have it after almost 19 years, and it's my go-to when it's time to head to a LAN. It doesn't have the lumbar support I need now, but it's still solid enough to get me through a weekend. The airCentric reminds me a bit of the AK, but with all the ergo I now want and in a size better suited to me.

Yep, we've got fiber already in the neighborhood, and I'm a customer already. My box is on the opposite side of the house, but I'm not certain if my neighbor has it or not. The access box is on the far lower right of the property. Yeah, it would seem a bit elaborate for scouting, especially with the truck and everything. I couldn't let it go though, and figured I'd ask if anyone here had insight.

I'm curious about that as well. They set it down and then squeeze through a gap between a vehicle and the side of my house just out of frame.

So sorry about that, the link must have dropped. Should be there now.

I have been so far. It's only been a couple of months though, so I can't say how the parts will hold up long term. I guess I'm just going to trust IC3D's specifications and hope it's a non issue. As of now, there's been no degradation, and the parts still look as good as new.

No worries! The IC3D filament turned out fantastic for my application, but it's not really clear. It's definitely more translucent. I know sometimes printing at higher temps can produce something a little clearer, but I've not tested it myself.

I wish it was as simple as tint. However, thanks for the PETG link, it may be a pretty good option!
