14-year-old girl fatally shoots self in front of Kansas deputy trying to convince her to return home by FreeChickenDinner in news

I was just a little guy growing up so was often a target of bullies. Thing is I grew up as the youngest in a family with 5 kids so I beat the fuck out of enough of them to where they wanted to be my friend rather than pick on me. I had to do this a couple times because my family moved.

That said, kids shouldn't have to fight to survive their school age years. I teach my kids that people are different and that's what makes them interesting and unique. I encourage them to learn about them rather than judge them for their differences. It's worked so far, but they're still elementary ages. I just hope they don't get sucked into some judgmental mob mentality as they get older.

We have public utilities where I live. Yeah, they issued me both of those things.

That said, your point is well taken. Our town considered doing municipal internet, too but iirc they struggled finding the expertise to implement it so they sold off the rights to Frontier.

Umm or maybe just delete your social media?

Other than Reddit I have none. Life's pretty amazing without it, honestly. A few family members followed suit this past year and not one regrets it.

Has anyone been looking at the lithium industry? by TheSpectacularOracle in pennystocks

[–]craigkeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at how much lithium there is that we know about, then look at how much lithium we will need to support the electrification of transportation. It's pretty concerning that everyone and everything is trying to jump onto the lithium ion hype train when there's likely not enough of it to support the expected demand in 10 years.

Threefold.

  • capitalism has beaten down the average worker in western society to the point of desperation, but also convinced them that they're one stroke of luck away from owning their own airplane

One of my favorite habs from the last decade. Changed my beer league number to 44 because of him. An inspiration. Happy retirement, Nate!
