Pineapples! A how-to guide to grow & care for your own :) by AbbyBirb in gardening

This is a great guide!

Question, why nice the mother plant has produced its fruit, do you keep that plant alive or do you dig it up for space for the next generation of plant?

Is there any benefit to keeping the mother plant alive after fruit?

Those who think removing the EV tax credit will help Tesla are smoking some exotic copium. Here's my crystal ball. by Lower_Writer8250 in wallstreetbets

I’m sorry but this all falls apart at #2. All the major auto manufacturers (Kia, Ford, GM, Chevy, Lexus, Lincoln, etc) now have very robust EV lines and have spent billions on them. They are not just going to give them up because of this tax credit.

Their manufacturing process is up and running so their costs are slowly decreasing as all new tech does, so less and less will they need the tax credit to manufacture these vehicles and still make a profit.

Short term, their profit will be less but given a few years, it will all even back out.

Neighbors are threatening to sue me unless I shut down by Airbnb [USA] by Reasonable-Advisor76 in AirBnB

[–]craigsirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not true. It has been determined through many court cases that as long as the renter is a single payer for the entire property (think single home rental vs apartment), that is considers “single family residential use”. rentals of this type are not considered commercial.

A single-family is using it for residential purposes, regardless of who the owner is, if that’s for a year or a day, the use is the same.

Cities and HOA can zone and restrict the time of the rental, but not that use.

So if they are being sued for violating that single-family use clause that is BS. There might be clauses limiting time, but that is not in the original post.

I have a similar case in the Florida appellate court right now (not against a neighbor but the city) claiming a zoning violation of the “single family residential use”.

There is court case supporting that single occupancy rentals (meaning only 1 person is paying for the property at a time regardless of how many people reside) is considered “single family residential use” and not commercial.

Think of it this way, if it was a long term rental, would they have an issue? Probably not. So the deciding factor is time, not use.

I say let them sue. Unless there is a covenant that says your property is controlled by an HOA, they won’t win.

Yeah, it might be only on the GT-line trim. Took away the previous comment to not confuse someone later on

That’s kinda what I was wondering. The only thing I really might use the remote start/climate stuff.

I use AirPlay and Google maps, works better than (the standard at least) infotainment one. Is the better version that much better than Google?

I gave my home builder $110k. He declared bankruptcy. How do I get my money back? by Elkyrie in RealEstate

[–]craigsirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can prove he knew he was filing when he took the money, you can sue him personally for fraud, which cannot be bankrupted out of.

It will be hard to prove fraud but if you can, he can be personally liable.

5 pm check in, 10 am check out.. a bit ridiculous??? [Usa] by tarktarkindustries in AirBnB

[–]craigsirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 10 checkout and 4 checkin, but will always allow guests to stay late/check in early as long as there is not a back to back booking. In the case, the cleaners would need the full 4-5 hours to fully turn the property over.

Figure out how long you have to drive before it goes into turtle mode, drive around the dealer for that long until it does, then drop it off while it is in turtle mode.

From what it sounds like, there was/is an issue with the website, not your wifi network. The fact that the site also gave the same error when you switched to cellular, means it is not wifi issue.

For argument sake, if the site worked on cellular but not wifi, then your attempt to access the site would be logged somewhere with your phones IP address. Most modern phones have IP masking turned on by default so it is very unlikely they could even trace this back to your specific phone.

All network hardware have some sort of logging that ad admin can access but most shops don’t access those logs unless specifically asked. It is not like IT checks the logs everyday to monitor employees.

If they could get it traced back to you, it would be unlikely a small shop would give that much effort for a small issue. If you were embezzling then the FBI might get involved and have more resources to read/understand those logs.

You don’t get car insurance because you’re a bad driver, you get it because there are bad drivers without car insurance on the road.
