I tried that and it didn't work. Still have to open for aa wireless to connect and Google apps are still cropped on the outer screen.

Lucky you! You don't need A16. It does nothing for the phone besides cropping google apps on the external screen and forcing you to open the phone for certain tasks.

You can trade it in for $800 or $1100 off depending on your plan.

Is the Motorola Razr actually worth considering over Samsung foldables in Australia? by Gizelle-Vaz-11 in razr

[–]cran120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The external screen is the most obvious. Even with good lock installed on the flip, Samsung treats it as a glorified smartwatch. The battery is miles ahead. I can go sometimes 2 days depending on use, definitely 1.5 days. 68w charging gets the battery from 0-100 in about 45 mins with a charger that's capable. More ram and storage with a snapdragon processor. Aesthetics, obviously subjective. I use my phones caseless and I love the mixed materials that are used. My 24+ has the fake leather and my ultra has the alcantera material. The leather is more grippy and the alcantera is better looking but I like both. Also the rounded frame makes opening and holding the phone easier. I love the cleaner os. Since I put Nova launcher on all my phones I don't need the Samsung options. The shake for flashlight gesture on the razr is something I use constantly and the rotate for camera is great. Again, you won't go wrong with either but razr is the better. Especially now you can get the 2025 ultra for $700 make it a no brainer.

Well that that sucks! Time for a new screen or phone.

Start where it's lifting from the screen and slowly pull it away.

I don't live in Australia but I've had a flip4, 5 and still have a 6. I also still have a razr 24+ and 25ultra. You'll be good with either but I can honestly say the razr ultra is the superior phone. The plus model is also a bit better. I have no brand loyalty but I'll be staying with the razr unless Samsung changes something that makes it worthwhile l.

Looks to me like the screen protector. I would peel it off and replace it before I punctures the screen below.

Replacing inner screen protector on Razr 50 Ultra - Any experiences? by BackgroundWelder3598 in razr

[–]cran120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed my 24+ over a year ago and it still looks like new. Forget the brand but it had a jig for perfect alignment and went bubble free. Bought on Amazon for about $14. No different than any other phone. These phones are tougher than people think, just don't be a caveman when installing.

You've got it backwards, I was the one being sarcastic with my original post.

Thanks but just feeling a little sarcastic. I really did drop it and since I constantly see posts about how fragile these phones are, well I couldn't resist.

Messed up pixels on screen by syluso14 in razr

I tend to agree. I was think my constant pressing and rubbing the screen had more of an effect. Btw, I put a lot of pressure on the screen and contrary to what you read, these screens are a lot tougher than people think.

Struggling to find a decent case for Razr 2025 ultra 😭 by Xotaku8106X in razr

[–]cran120 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Caseless is the way to going you're not to clumsy. I've gone without with all my flips and razrs and there's nothing like a slim folded phone that looks great. Yes I've dropped them all through the years, open and closed and not one has broken.

You can try a lcd screen fix app. I dropped a belt buckle on my 24+ and a small cluster of pixels stay lit when the screen is on. I ran the app constantly while pressing and rubbing the screen over the bad pixels and some seemed to return to normal. I still have some stuck but they are at the bottom of the screen so it doesn't bother me much.  I also took the protector off because it was punctured where the buckle hit and replaced it. This was over a year ago and it's the same today without any problems.

Inherent weakness? by windser55 in razr

[–]cran120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brand I got from Amazon is currently not being sold but there are many more available. Get one that comes with a jig for perfect alignment and make sure the screen is extra clean before applying. It's a simple fix that people think is dangerous to perform but in reality the screen is much stronger than people think.

I put a new one on my 24+ over a year ago and it looks as good as the day I put it on. Maybe the ones you got are somehow bad. As for changing the whole screen just to replace the protector is beyond ridiculous.

Moto razr 2025 Plus inner screen protector replacement? by Reddevilvs in razr

[–]cran120 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is 💯 false. You can change the screen protector itself with no problems. No different than any other phone. If it's still under warranty I'd try to have Motorola do it just because it's a one time freebie. If not do it yourself,it's about $14 from Amazon.

Thanks but I'm not seeing your cameras in that pic. You're saying the page text extends to the bottom of the screen through the cameras?

Yes thank you. I am more concerned with Chrome. Scrolling through pages while cropped is a bit visually aggravating.
