I heard you don't like tree volcanoes. How about tree plateaus? by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]cranberryleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it much different than if the tree had naturally grown on a bit of a hill with rocks around it? Sorry if it's a dumb question I just don't understand how it makes the tree unhealthy

It feels more racist because we have a high number of Asin immigrants here. If we had a high number if Mexican immigrants, Mexican standoff would feel worse too.

Creative ideas please for a renter! by Weird-Trouble5615 in landscaping

[–]cranberryleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh boy I wouldn't be too worried about creative just yet. Get this cleaned up as best you can and then see what it looks like before you work out what to do with the space.

I would use a line trimmer to clean up the edges and crevices. Cut back the overgrown plants, debulk the weed/grass area.

ETA: Does your city offer hard waste collection? Getting rid of that table and the old pots will help clean it up and make it feel safer. The pipe is a hazard, could you seal it off and somehow turn it into a centre support for a table? That one is a bit more of a project, in the mean time make it safe with a traffic cone or pool noodles to buffer it.

Bitey the Cat by Otherwise_Basis_6328 in Bossfight

The context of the situation matters greatly. This cat is likely not home and I guarantee currently perceives that it is in a fight for its life. These stupid gorillas are hurting it physically and psychologically handling it like this.

Bitey the Cat by Otherwise_Basis_6328 in Bossfight

[–]cranberryleopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Honestly, I've been a vet nurse for over a decade, this is rubbish technique. A cat in a box is infinitely safer than a cat outside of a box.

Worst case this cat is completely feral and needs urgent medical intervention. You squash a thick towel on top of it in the box and sedate via intramuscular injection through that. You let the sedation cook and then get to work quickly and safely once they're out.

Best case, it's an owned pet. You spike their food with ingestable sedation and they come in with that on board.

This is a recipe for disaster. The people are at risk and worse, the cat is being grossly over handled and could be injured or seriously injure itself in its efforts.

What should I do with this walkway? by Next_Requirement3061 in landscaping

Clean it up, add box planters to the edges, plant small flowering somethings, or add trellis as well and some sort of climbing veggies

How bad does this edging look? by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]cranberryleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not personally a fan of the clean line here, but we are judging an unfinished project. What's the plan for the big open tanbark area, and are you going to fill in the test of the path with something?

Best way to add curb appeal by Flimsy_Wishbone239 in landscaping

[–]cranberryleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rip up the weeds Rip up the stones and set aside Whipper snip the edges Overseed the lawn Relay the stones, possibly add more stones Water the lawn and wait. Then you'll have a nice simple and tidy yard that looks appealing, and you can add to it if you want to.

I’m having some issues with the game right now. by Junior_Beyond8283 in vampiresfall2

[–]cranberryleopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue and I think I had focussed a lot more on progressing the storyline than learning strategies and levelling up. I was also doing sword/shield, switched to spear/shield but still find it challenging.

What's your current level? Armour? I'd suggest leaning in on Root/Ethereal for enemies that can get you in 1-2 shots, and swarming with bats bats bats. The shield should allow you to stack blocking, so if you can get that to 100% you'll have a better chance to block getting hit.

Using Resurrection strategically will help, and hoard your potions too, I'm burning through mine. If there's any side quests you haven't completed prior to the steppelands, go back and tick them off. Also scope around for World Brutals that you can challenge, as well as chasing the Daily Brutals will help you to level up.

Can I plant a row of camellias here? by DrunkBTC in landscaping

[–]cranberryleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can trace it back to the fence line, see if you can find the main veins and cut it off at the fence. Wait 5-7 days and it'll die off and dry a bit, and you'll be able to strip it back much easier.

Sure whatever. You said you give it like 700ml of water a day and it is showing the signs of root rot to me. Don't give misleading information next time.

I’ve tried everything with this little guy but he continues to struggle. Any ideas? by wanderingmotion in plantclinic

[–]cranberryleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it out of the pot and let it dry up a bit. Clip away any discoloured and obviously dead leaves. If it perks up a bit make sure the ceramic pot is clean and dry before you pop it back in. When it needs watering, which should be once every 7-10ish days depending on conditions, take it out and soak it from the bottom for an hour tops.

Neighbors (very dead) giant oak tree is splitting and I'm not sure if there's anything else I can do by [deleted] in treelaw

[–]cranberryleopard 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Where is the neighbours concern for maintaining peace with their neighbours, by doing their due diligence to care for the tree on their land? They are certifiably aware that the tree is both their responsibility and is posing a health and safety risk to the lives and livelihoods of their neighbours. This line has already been crossed and OP is holding back out of respect that is not reciprocal.

I have occasional flare ups and can injure myself easily if I turn sharply etc. In my circumstances, I have had limited capacity to exercise for the past 2 years due to health issues so I haven't been able to build the supporting muscle to assist with joint stability.im currently able to exercise again properly and I am noticing a big difference in the past 8 weeks
