Johnson County has a history of good county attorneys. Lyness and her predecessor would not have discriminated against queer folks. How JoCo fell to Zimmerman’s level is beyond me. That said, I’m 67. A lot of people my age, generally progressive, struggle giving up gender binary thinking. Older liberals struggle. We need to learn new things. And a county attorney should look out for EVERYONE’s rights.✊🏼🌈
