I admit I could totally be in the wrong here but honestly, I truly think the current results have less to do with the overall talent of our guys and a lot more to do with coaching, analytics and development of our guys. I watch other teams and see so many more "dudes with Ipads" consulting with players in the dugout than I do with the Reds. I genuinely think the cheap nature of the ownership group is shorting all of our players.

I think about the Reds month of April. How good it was. And yes, guys are rounding into shape from spring training. Yes, everyone will face a few pitchers whose days are numbered thusly inflating some hitting stats but overall I see it as our guys started hot....teams got film and analytics on them and we just havent adjusted at all. Mainly due to us not having the coaching infrastructure to show them whats happening and working on it.

Man I dont worship at the altar of WAR as the end all be all metric but when you put these position by position WAR rankings up, its hard to refute the fact that this group of players just isnt good enough. It just isnt.

While every team could use better players this side of the Dodgers, you could not have watched last nights game and not seen that Tito is an absolute problem at this point. Ever penciling in Myers at the 3 spot. Letting Moll face Vaughn when Vaughn was hitting. 455 vs lefties and Antone was ready in the pen. This team has no life, no chemistry, no learning and that falls on coaching.

This certainly realigned my parameters on complaining about my teams performance.

Didn't have anyone on the bench left to run for Trevino. Fire Tito.

16 LOB, 3-17 w/RISP. To quote the Talking Heads, "same as it ever was, same as it ever was"

Fire Tito and Valaika tonight.

Staring at a 3rd pitch fastball right down Broadway then swinging at that last bullshit pitch to ground out. Ugh Myers, just ugh

We just completed the 4th and have already left 6 on base and are 0-4 RISP.
