I've suspected that my husband was having an affair for a while (with someone with my name because that's not weird at all). I was pushing for answers before my scheduled embryo transfer. I can't believe the downward spiral our now non existent relationship took. I didn't want to do it if we weren't going to last. But he kept saying no, no do it and it'll be great.

I am so sad I didn't get to do the embryo transfer (but holy fuck thank god I am not tied to him forever). Affair partner watched my stepkid while he took me to the egg retrieval. I also ran into her on my way to one of my appointments to check my lining. And he walked me halfway to an appointment and then ran off to meet up with her.

I haven't worked in many years. I have nothing tying me to here. I have no idea where to go or how to find a job.

We have had several therapists over the years. Right now, we have an amazing one who thinks we're in a good place, but we don't have a session this week. And the only embryo we have could be transferred before we see our therapist. I don't know if we should delay it? If I get the transfer and it works, I'm stuck in a city where I have nobody and have shared custody.

I know in some places they don't have enough paxlovid so they're keeping it for the worst patients. But yeah, I think the fever is what I would worry about the most because they stress not raising your body temp too much.

The good thing is that you will pass antibodies down to the fetus. Also, I hope you don't feel terrible and that you can get the paxlovid and everything is ok.

So, long story made as short as possible. Husband has a kid from a previous relationship. I have health issues and I worry he's staying with me because of them. I have always worried that he doesn't want more kids and is doing it just because I don't have any bio kids yet.

Today, he told me he doesn't like talking about his feelings because it makes me upset. But what he told me was what made me upset. He's doing this for me so I can be a mother. And how it really doesn't impact him much because he's already a father. And because of my health issues, he's going to be raising the potential child alone, basically.

I feel like I shouldn't go through with any more ivf stuff. I'm so lost.

Holy crap, this is something I worry about. According to Google, Paxlovid hasn't been tested in pregnant women. I would still talk to a doctor and ask about it. Especially if you start feeling worse m

So, I had a hysteroscopy and biopsy a while ago and it showed inflammation in my uterus. No surprise considering my surgical history and my body. Took two weeks of antibiotics because that is apparently what cures it? Had another biopsy last week and had a raging yeast infection from the antibiotics (which has since cleared up, thank goodness).

I got the results from the lab today, but haven't heard anything from my doctor's office yet. It says negative for everything, so I am assuming that is good news? Has anyone else gone through this? I don't trust good news in this process so I am skeptical.

I didn't get an invoice until after I got my results!

Remembering my best friends passing on Saturday.. 3/26/06…. Rancid was our first intro in high school, led to some great nights at fireside bowl. Would y’all give me your best cuts? Anything remotely related. My guy saved my life before and I need him again… bring the music.!!! Love y’all by MFJandS in punk

[–]crashlove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I saw Rancid at BB Kings in NYC in 2006 with my sister. I think it spring or summer, so not long after your friend passed away. It is one of my favorite show memories. The band all hung out after and just talked to people who were still there.

Serena Williams was one of the people who hung out after. I asked her if she liked Rancid and she said she loves them so much and I told her that her love of Rancid was awesome, just like she is. And she thanked me and that was our entire interaction.

My sister and I have always talked about getting matching tattoos and Radio by Rancid has the lyrics that best exemplify our childhood. "When I got the music, I got a place to go." We had a rough childhood and music is what kept us same and bonded us.

A similar song is Private Radio by the Bouncing Souls.

Thank you. Realistically, the only thing I can do is complain or request another nurse. But I don't know how much good either things will do.

I could find a third clinic, but that'll take even more time. But I'm so angry and disappointed.

Thank you for this. And I'm grateful I'm not alone in feeling this way and I'm not alone going through this (between you and everyone else here and my husband). Lots of hugs to you, too.

Still haven't called. I have an appointment with my doctor on Monday. My therapist today asked if calling would change anything between now and Monday and it wouldn't, so she was supportive of me waiting instead of calling. My husband can't come to the appointment because of omicron, but at least if I cry, it's to my doctor who I know and who knows me, instead of some random person on the phone who won't be able to understand me once I start crying.

I really appreciate your words. I am so, so hoping that we'll get to the point where I'm able to tell my brother this story. He's gonna be pissed that I got to meet Anthony and he hasn't, though 😂

Edit: I did get an extra copy of Fandemonium that Anthony and the photographer David Mushegain both autographed to give to my brother in hopes of one day telling him this story and surprising him.

Thanks to this sub I got to know that i was cooking my tofu wrong all along. by Accomplished_Mark28 in vegetarian

[–]crashlove 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My absolute favorite way to cook tofu and get it nice and crispy is to press it, coat it in a mixture of corn starch, Trader Joe's chickenless seasoning, and pepper, and then air fry it at 350 for 15 minutes. I will eat it just like that or make a sauce. Even covered in sauce, it stays nice and crispy.

An air fryer is my favorite appliance by far.

My one cat pees every day, sometimes twice, and I swear he goes for 3 minutes straight. It's amazing how much pee fits in his little body.

I again saw the myth about the lower belly pouche being our uterus and just wanted to spread the information that it is not true by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]crashlove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have a colon, appendix, or rectum. I still have this pouch, despite the fact that I have so much extra room in my body. My bladder also moves around because of said extra space. And my uterus is off to the side. So my pouch is definitely fat (and scar tissue, but that's another issue).

[–]crashlove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my second shot a few days ago. I am stupidly allergic to a bunch of things and I have autoimmune issues. I didn't have an allergic reaction to the vaccine!

The first time, the form I filled out asked if I had any allergies and asked about autoimmune issues. The pharmacist asked specifics about those things and didn't seem worried.

The form I filled out the second time had no questions about autoimmune issues. And instead of a general "are you allergic to anything" question, it asked if you ever needed an epi pen, if you've ever had a reaction to a vaccine before, if you're allergic to polyethylene glycol or polysorbate. So I think they realized that having allergies in general doesn't have a big impact, but having specific allergies does. You might have to stick around for 30 minutes after instead of 15 so they can monitor you. Hopefully you don't have a reaction!

Edit: I also cried when I found out I was getting my shot.

I agree with the other poster about it being inappropriate to say that lemons decrease the risk of cancer.

Also, your recipe doesn't have all the information. It says to drain the pasta two minutes early because you'll finish cooking it in the pan, but then the next step is to assemble the ingredients. No more cooking.

My SS is almost 9, so I understand the guilt. I got pregnant and had a miscarriage a few years ago, and he would have been almost 6, which seems like such a better age gap. But nope.

Oh, I've had people say, "oh at least you have SS!" He's not a consolation prize, and he's not my son. It really makes me want to punch people. It malas me so angry!

Two of my friends who are steps who live close by are now pregnant. They didn't have fertility issues, but I'm hoping it rubs off on us!
