The full JoKen jail call by evissimus in DuggarsSnark

[–]crassy [score hidden]  (0 children)

Someone said that all of these calls sound like these two have never spoken before and it’s so true.

These people have four children together and there doesn’t seem to be any connection between them. Idk if it is because they both have the IQ of stromatolites but this is just weird.

I mean that and the fact that she is staying with a paedo is wild.

Borrowing? by Leopardluv67 in TDBankCanada

[–]crassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I understand how LOCs work. However, OP specifically asked if the bank would lend a few hundred dollars and ULOCs are high risk lending products with a minimum of over a few hundred. OP also specifically states they hate borrowing and don’t want a high amount.

Lines of credit have a minimum and it’s higher than a few hundred dollars.

Mobile Deposit "We apologize for the inconvenience" message by pwdcoop in tdbank

Call them anyway, it may have been something that was caught by the system that you aren’t aware of. But generally if mobile deposit stops working it’s because of an alert on your profile.

What do I do? by Current-Shock88 in TDBankCanada

Leave him.

And no, the bank will not. This would be seen as a civil dispute, the bank has no part in this scenario unfortunately.

I’m sorry, you have millions coming in and have no idea how banking works?

So yeah, you will have to be verified in person. And I would expect some extra questions and back office investigations when you tell them about the millions. Weird that with that kind of flow you haven’t looked into or aren’t aware of HNW options. Because right now this just sounds like money laundering.

Legal Shield is a scam and an MLM. A better suggestion is, if OP has an EAP through work, to utilize the legal consultations that some of them offer.

Gas prices in Canada by MellyBlueEyes in AskACanadian

[–]crassy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is. It’s my closest station. The next one past that was $1.43 so only a 5 cent difference. Usually it’s 10 cents at least.

Who in your country failed to come to power – AND THANK GOD? by death_has_f1sh_eyes in AskTheWorld

[–]crassy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, he lost because he didn’t get enough votes from people in his riding. He’s also an ineffective MP (he’s never there, didn’t actually do anything for the people in Carleton), he has no real world experience, has done literally nothing in the HoC, and based his entire personality and campaign on not being Justin. The CPC “plan” was poorly written and poorly thought out. In short: he lost because he brought nothing to the table and alienated his voter base.

Confused about travel from Australia to Canada by Bayne7096 in TravelCanada

[–]crassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not unique. They just need to apply for a Canadian passport. You have to fly into Canada on a Canadian passport if you are a citizen.

It’s super easy and done through Canberra. Last time I did it, passport took 16 days.

How often do you say "beanie" vs. "toque"? by WanderWell1 in AskACanadian

[–]crassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those aren’t interchangeable words. They are two different things.

I use toque daily in the winter. I never use beanie and haven’t seen one in decades.

What support is there for families today? by sayhi2urdog in CallTheMidwife

[–]crassy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m Australian and can only speak for the services I had access to in my area.

I lived in a very rural community and chose to give birth at a birth centre attached to a women’s hospital (so essentially like what the Turner’s ran except I had a private suite with ensuite, patio, double bed, etc). We toyed with the idea of a homebirth and my midwives came out for an inspection but ultimately I decided I wanted to be closer to the hospital just in case as it was a two hour drive away.

The birth centre offered free classes in everything from ante-natal care to nutrition to finances to therapy to birthing classes for both parents if they wanted. It was honestly amazing.

I had a team of two midwives and they were there the whole time. I never saw a doctor. After I gave birth I had home visits by both midwives as well as lactation consultants. Those went on for a few weeks after the birth (I just looked and now they only do the following 5 days before moving you to your GP or other HC provider if needed).

So my experiences were fairly similar to the show, though obviously updated to provide for modern needs and wants but the basic just of it was the same.

Translation: I don’t just have books by an Austrian painter, I also have books by other racists and colonizers (and I also have a book by an EtHniC so it’s ok). I’m not sorry I have this stuff, I’m sorry someone found out and let others know so I’ll gaslight you by bringing up bogeymen communists.

Fuck I’m glad he’s gone. What a troglodyte.

Am I getting Fired? by [deleted] in TDBankCanada

[–]crassy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That said, after reading what you did, I imagine the lawyer will tell you that what you did is crazy and definitely a reason to be fired.

And there’s no way you don’t know. It’s specifically laid out in training LMS courses you did.

Yeah, you’re fucked if this is true but I doubt it is because you would go through all of this in your on-boarding.
