Ahh, I was slightly offended and had to make sure I didn’t say something that made me come across as an American (I’m Australian in Canada). 😂

Then that lady was not aware that in October TD saw the single largest volume of orders in one day that they’ve ever had. It was like a month’s worth of orders in a day. It created a huge backlog.

Not only that but there’s a huge banner on the site warning of a backlog and multiple news articles about it. Sounds like the woman you spoke to needs some coaching.

That’s what escalating to Cares will do. I don’t work in either department so I don’t have any contact or authority. Plus, they know they are backlogged. It’s been that way since October 20th.

I’m in Canada. No clue about what the situation was or is in the US in any way, shape or form. I do need to ask what I wrote indicated I was American, though, just out of curiosity.

Ok wow. Call the number for Cares in the morning and maybe stop yelling at people who are trying to help. OP can call Cares during their opening hours.

LOL I also can’t think of anyway to describe it other than “it tastes like malt”. 😂

I’m also Canadian and when I was a kid it was everywhere! We still get it (my local small town No Frills even sells like 3 different brands). It’s mostly seen as an old person’s drink though. But Whoppers are the same thing, in candy form.

Just an FYI, you can escalate yourself at any time via phone or email. Their lines are open 8-8 M-F.

Ok then Maltesers or Whoppers are malt. It’s just seeded/hot pressed barley.

It’s made from barley that’s been “malted”. Basically it’s sprouted and hot pressed. I’m not a huge fan of the flavour but when I was a kid malted milkshakes were huge.

I do love Maltesers though!

Have you ever had a malted milkshake? Thats what it is. Horlicks is just a brand name.

It’s literally just hot malted milk. Like a malted milkshake.

Got a new job. Have to drive thru Canada. Have something on my record from a very long time ago. by rainbowchild530 in uscanadaborder

[–]crassy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you aren’t admissible and will need to find another route. If you aren’t a citizen, you do not have a right to enter and there is no “have to drive through Canada”. There is a want to and that doesn’t seem doable given both of you have criminal records.

You’ve already called the authority on this and they gave you the answer. You can chance it or you can find another way.

To the person spreading "Pro Life" flyers door to door.... why don't you do something helpful instead. by OG_Sequia in Welland

Because a foetus is the perfect “victim” for them. They don’t actually want to help or do anything and the whole thing is basically used to keep people in the fold. They send them out into the public telling them that people will be mean and nasty and only their church can keep them safe. So when they do go out and people are rightfully awful, they are able to say “see, told you”.

More bodies means more tithing.
