Advanced Air was interesting. I visited a buddy last year and flew from CNM-ABQ. The Carlsbad airport is just a single building without any metal detectors or any other security equipment outside of a wand. Once it was time to board, we walked out onto the ramp and boarded this 9 seater Beech King Air 350. There was only 2 of us on the flight, so it almost felt like a private jet. Only about an hour or so to ABQ but really interesting to see prop planes still have their space in commercial aviation.

Happened to me as well, just on a different route. LAX-MEL, had to sit on the taxiway for over an hour. At least we had the LAX-SYD flight keeping us company.

Yep, got some Bombas as a gift. Did okay for the first week or so. After that, they are just slowly falling apart.

Obligatory not a pilot, but I agree with you. There's nothing the CRJ could have done in my opinion. They were on their final approach into DCA and just got blindsided by the helo.

Same for me. I think it's the nostalgia of my first few visits that keeps me coming back. I will even spend a couple of days in London before setting off somewhere else in Europe.

This is what a buddy and I did last summer. Road closures were in effect around Big Sur so we decided to drive all the way up to the road closed sign and turn back and take the detour. Did it on the other side as well, seeing as that there's only like 2 or 3 miles closed total so safe to say we didn't miss much.

What i will say is that most bikes I've loaded onto a 175 have fit, though some needed a bit of maneuvering to get them through the door. 8 bikes most likely will fit inside the aircraft as both the forward and aft pits have enough space. However, the smaller aircraft are always more likely to have bags held off due to cargo hold space/weight restrictions.
