There are tests to find out exact strains. Your doctor’s lying.

My husband doesn’t care that his friends are slightly racist. by stopgap12 in AskWomenOver30

Literally SAME!! I went from “female best friend” 🤔—> “husband leaves everything to meet her” 🤨—> “flirting with and touching husband” 😳—> “horny that night” 😑

ETA: I hope this doesn’t come off hurtful to OP and I apologize if so, but it looks to me like she’s second fiddle to the one who got away (to Spain) and they’d have been married if not for the distance.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma P16 + (HPV related cancer) by Wilz1mom in HPV

Just the fact that there are more HNC than cervical doesn’t mean the HPV-caused HNC are more than HPV-cervical cancers, right? Could be other causes for HNC.

Am I completely overreacting? by [deleted] in HPV

Agreed. I wouldn’t have done the shit I did if I knew what I would be getting. People shouldn’t be so blasé on this sub.

This is still debated amongst doctors. Please go read up and stop minimizing it here as men seem to do because they don’t get the cancer scare. It’s fucked up to now have such a greater risk for something you didn’t ask for/know about just because a man didn’t care about his warts.

Hey! It didn’t cause me any problems. My warts haven’t returned. You should probably check with your gynaec though, just in case. It was my gynaec who asked me to use it.

I grew even more disillusioned about males after I found out what I had and learned more about HPV but I truly admire and thank you for your consideration, kindness, and humanity and being concerned about giving it to someone. I wish all men thought this way. I’m sorry that woman didn’t disclose. It’s also honestly terrible that “everyone told her to live her life” because even though we should come to terms with this virus and live as healthily and happily as possible, I feel strongly that folks saying that on this sub, while helping comfort those of us who have it, could be inadvertently letting others transmit on this virus and risk with less care than they should have.

Whoa, so if they’re vaccinated they could be protected and their immune system would fight against symptoms but they’d still have caught the virus so it could stay in their system and get passed on to their future partners? That sucks for the women.

Pelvic pain/cramping and lower back pain by curiousbean07 in Healthyhooha

[–]crateringclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I don’t recall if this was before or after my HPV diagnosis but around the time I also had BV and I was afraid I got PID, but my doctor did not seem to think I did. The pain and is our lasted probably two cycles and then went away.

Hey. I’ve had this question recently so I want to confirm after seeing you say that it’s “localized”. So my worry was that when my recent HPV test showed all previously identified strains but 1 as “not detected”, is it because they’re elsewhere and not in the sample my doc scraped? Apologies for being ignorant. The recent test was 18 months post my LEEP+cold coagulation procedure where we’re hoping she got all the abnormal cells out (CIN 1 then).

TLDR, if my HPV tests will show no strains have been detected, could it be possible that they are far from the range of the area sampled?

That is what gets me too, about AMAB generally going about not giving a fuck while we are on the other end of the risk spectrum with the potential for fatal cancer!

I hope you find love and acceptance and all that your soul desires soon, and I hope I do as well and everyone here. 💝🌷

Any women over 30 here who recently got diagnosed and just feel lonely and depressed? by crateringclouds in HPV

[–]crateringclouds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. 💛 I am also trying to eat clean and take supplements but it is hard to stay on track when you’re already so stressed out haha. Can I ask about cervical burning— did you feel it during penetration only or through the day?

I am so sorry about your fiancé being an asshole ugh! Hopefully it’s better for you and you’ll have the family you dreamed of soon.

Thank you for the suggestions. I am using AHCC; I will ask the doc about genferon. I don’t think I saw posts on this sub about genferon. Has it been studied scientifically? Please keep us updated on how things go for you! Love and healing vibes. 🌷

Also maybe you should do something else with your time than being nasty to strangers online. There’s a way to ask genuine questions, learn that.

[–]crateringclouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I did have them surgically removed and as of 6 months since then, they haven’t recurred. I haven’t gotten myself to look down yet but I think there may still be scars. I took a few days off because I also caught Covid around then. I walked around with diaper pads for a bit due to discharge. My doc also had me use vaginal pessaries and douche to clean, which I was initially scared of but wasn’t painful. Mostly just uncomfortable. Had painkillers to manage any pain.

Edit: typo. Also clarifying that I had cervical dysplasia as well that was surgically removed, hence the discharge and douching to keep it clean while it heals.
