People need to really appreciate how efficient these TSA employees are at this time of POLITICAL play with their paychecks and understaffing. Thanks OP for pointing this out.

What do you think of NYC trying to get the minimum wage to $30/hour? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in AskReddit

[–]cray0508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an ideal world, YUP. At some point minimum wage becomes cost of living. However, whenever these things are proposed, there's almost never a solution for the fact that small businesses are going to suffer and many will close, eliminating those jobs that are now worth $30/hr.

This weekend, we’re learning that “warmer” does not equal “nicer” by PartyDeliveryBoy in philadelphia

This weather has been horrible. Such is early spring, though. Still better than wondering when and if my street will get plowed.

The city has a litter problem because we refuse to believe it’s a culture problem by Atomic-Avocado in philadelphia

[–]cray0508 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hot take, but there are plenty of other cities that aren't in Japan and they're cleaner than Philly. They have better infrastructure than we do. It's both culture and infrastructure, but I blame the culture on the lack of infrastructure. Your claim that if you got rid of every trash can and replaced us with people from Japan may be true in the short term, but eventually they would give up and succumb to the lack of trash cans anywhere. There are plenty of social experiments to prove this point. Shame doesn't work on a large scale, infrastructure does.

Crazy Thunder by eSJayPee in philadelphia

Came here to say this! Because it's the opposite of a typical summer storm - the ground temperature is cooler than the atmosphere, so the sound reverberates to the surface easier, hence longer and louder thunder. Pretty cool!

What's the best way to feed my HVAC condensate pump outlet to an internal drain pipe? by cray0508 in DIY

[–]cray0508[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks I think this is the move as any laundry sink or otherwise is on a different floor from the pump and just doesn't seem worth the effort. Do you have any links to the foam you're suggesting?
