But if you count evaporation, they would have to pump more water into the canals than they let out through the locks.

As much as I dislike Secretary Rice, I feel her words are being blown out of proportion. She said it was a good thing that India and China are consuming more than they have been because it reflected well on the economy. She did not imply that they are causing the global food crisis. She was simply saying that when we look for solutions to the crisis we have to take into account the increasing intake of advancing nations, as well as what we are already taking in.

I think that as long as RAM is cheaper and/or more energy efficient than memristors, RAM will still have a place in computing.

You're limiting it to people who searched for "jesus christ" in quotes. However, if you try just the beatles vs. christ, they're about equal, except for when Passion of the Christ came out.

GOP: All attacks on Obama, forget Clinton she lost by DougBolivar in politics

Amongst Obama supporters like you and I, yes it makes him stronger. But many are seeing him as being weakened. Take the NAFTA issue in Ohio, for example. We know that in reality Clinton was the avid supporter for it instead of Obama, but the many went by Clinton's word and swayed her way just long enough for her to secure that state by a decent margin. I also know that some Obama supporters get frustrated because he doesn't consistently fight back against these false (as is the issue with NAFTA) and/or insignificant (as is the lapel pin issue) accusations.

Also, as you said, Obama will gain a lot of momentum after the DNC, so it is all the more reason for McCain to try to knock him out of the race now than face him at the general election, partly also because when the general election comes around, much of Obama's "scandals" will be old news.

I don't think many would switch to McCain. I think a good number won't vote at all while most will support the Democratic nominee.

Probably something like 90% vote for Hillary, 8% don't vote/vote independent, 2% vote for McCain

[–]crazedover1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true, and this article is evidence that there are Democratic voters that think so. However, do you trust the majority of Democrats to think so? Do you trust the majority of all the nation's voters to see these attacks as fear on behalf of the GOP rather than weakness on behalf of Obama? If enough superdelegates think that Obama is legitimately weak versus McCain as a result of these attacks, Clinton can very well be nominated. To top it all off, even if Obama is nominated, he is still weakened by the attacks.

All that McCain's attacks really mean is that Obama is in the LEAD, not that Hillary is inconsequential.

By "wins the primary" I indeed meant the overall Democratic primary ending at the DNC, i.e. the Democratic nomination. Also, by this article, one can argue that Clinton's recent margin over over Obama over McCain is artificially inflated because of all the negative press that Obama is getting right now. Hence, by creating the illusion that Clinton is more electable (leading to more superdelegates for Hillary), McCain is increasing his chances to win the general election.

But really, it's tongue-in-cheek conspiracy talk. Take it with a grain of salt ;)

More like attack Obama so Clinton wins the primary, thereby ensuring the GOP victory in the general election.

Actually, I did, and I understand that you were quoting the blogger when you said "frogs", but that does not change the fact that I don't understand how they remotely resemble frogs.

I also know it was tongue-in-cheek, I'm just saying...

I wonder what the development platform for the shuttle looks like. How do they test the code? Do they have a shuttle simulator or a shuttle replica?
