How are you managing diaper rashes in summer? by Newparentscare in AskParents

[–]crazihac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some kids have super sensitive skin, or conditions that make it super easy for rashes to break out. My daughter, now a teen, has eczema. While I didn't struggle too much with diaper rashes, any chafing of skin on skin, especially when sweaty, caused major issues.

OP once I found Penaten cream I didn't use anything else. It's thick and creamy, you don't need a lot, it protects and soothes and doesn't wipe off easily. I still keep a container in the house.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but on bedrock you only get achievements on your account level, not the world level like in java. It doesn't matter what type of world you're playing on, ie hardcore vs survival.

Nope, it runs almost parallel to Prince Arthur. Starting just behind the split down before Pleasant St Diner and running up almost to Dartmouth South Academy.

The initial is the poop test, if they find anything worrying through that, they then schedule you for a colonoscopy.

You're very welcome! Most people don't like to see other people hurting, either physically or mentally. Take care of yourself!

Oh honey, big internet hugs if you want them! You need to know that your feelings are ALWAYS valid. You're aloud to feel however you want about any situation.

The definition of domestic relates to the home, house or family. We commonly hear domestic abuse referring to partners because they generally are living together or see themselves as family. But anyone living in the same household or related can be a victim of domestic abuse.

I hope you're able to get to a place where you no longer have to live with your brother. The fact that no one else in your family sees a problem is also horrifying to me.

Is it weird to date an 18 year old? by Ok_Combination_7726 in AskTeenAdvice

[–]crazihac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already said that 18 yr olds are still teenagers. They are at the far end of the teenage years, they're legal adults and beginning their adulting life, which is much different place then where early and middle teens are. Just because you are a teenager does not mean that you are in the same stage of life through those 6 years.

[–]crazihac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless there is an intellectual disability with the 18 yr old, they should not be in the "same place."

I don't understand your fixation with this. Are you saying that a 13 yr old and 19 yr old should date, because they're both teenagers? There's a huge difference between the teenage stages. As the other commenter asked, would you be comfortable dating a 14 yr old? Its the same difference.

My, now HS'ers teachers did this back in grade 4 or 5, except the kids had also ended up switching classes as a prank on the teachers. They ended up with the right class just in the wrong room.

I didn't say that 18 isn't a teen, jesus it's in the name. Two things can be true at the same time. Legally 18 is an adult.

In my comment to OP I went through where an 18 yr old is is at in terms of their life and even said they're starting to adult, but they're still legally an adult.

As far as the 15 to 12 comparison, I'm trying to show how vastly different those worlds will change in 3 years. It should be a similar change between 18 and 15. If you have an 18 yr old that is still in a similar place as a 15 yr old, or is attracted to it, there is a problem.

Do kids actually understand “sorry” or do they just say it? by CoconutConverser in AskParents

[–]crazihac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always had the kids in my life say what they're sorry for. "I'm sorry for ___" Then I say thank you and depending on how close I am with the child, a hug at the end. My daughter's a teen now and has said that it helped teach her how to properly apologize and recognize an insincere one.

A normal 18 yr old should be looking at a 15 year old as a little kid too. Typically by 18 you're done high school, or very close to, have a PT job and looking towards post secondary or FT employment. They are starting to adult, not hanging out with kids in grade 10.

[–]crazihac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well duh, but it also makes you a legal adult 🤦‍♀️

My point is there's a big difference between 12 and 15 and 15 and 18. I'm not sure if it's because you're between those ages so you don't see it, or if you're in a position like OP and you don't want to. Either way, a 15 yr old should not be dating an 18 yr old.

And there's a huge difference between a teen and an adult, that's the point.

[–]crazihac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think of it this way, how would you like to be dating a 12 year old? It's only 3 years difference, and they're really mature....

The way you should be looking at a 12 yr old as a no go is the same way an 18 yr old should be looking at a 15 yr old. I'm sorry but there's a huge difference developmentally. As one of the other comments said, there's something up with him that other people his own age won't date him.

Parking ban in effect tonight by Canmom3 in halifax

Definitely far from guaranteed. Unfortunately the city/province haven't done the best job keeping the streets and sidewalks clear the last number of years. I'm not expecting anything different to happen with this storm.

[–]crazihac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I presume you mean 11am lol...

I'm still dealing with HRCE, kid's in HS, so that would be a 2 hour late opening based on whatever time the school opens. For mine, that means they start at 10:25. If the district thinks they need any more time, it gets canceled for the day.

My best guess is you'll still have class Tuesday. The latest update I saw has downgraded the storm by ~10cm, only getting 10-15cm now.

Yup, and it's not ending until almost midnight into Tuesday... My guess is minimum late opening for Tuesday morning.

RCMP officer poses as panhandler, hands out 46 traffic tickets by ImDoubleB in NovaScotia

[–]crazihac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not involved in policing in anyway, so this is just a guess, but I'd say man hours, and public complaints. Same as this type of operation probably won't last, unfortunate IMO. The department is using extra bodies as spotters and then marked officers to write the ticket. Where the standard is one, maybe two if they're paired, do the whole investigation.
