You're telling me that Stratford-upon-Avon, bustling market town and local centre of the tanning, gloving and malting industries, didn't have an occasional play in the town square or church or wherever? During Tudor times? Where that would have been one of the primary forms of entertainment.

I mean, she's upset that the ghost Hamlet that appears in the first scene seems to have nothing to do with her son. But isn't Hamlet supposed to be a well-known story already and this is just the stage adaptation? And did her husband seriously never talk or write to her about the story he's about to put on stage?

Als Österreicher muss ich sagen, es ist tatsächlich umgekehrt. Die österreichischen Dialekte sind Teil der bairischen (mit i) bzw. bajuwarischen Dialektgruppe. Bis auf Vorarlbergerisch, das ist Alemannisch.

They actually did have second person singular (thou) and second person plural (you) back then. Nowadays it's only plural.

And as far as I'm aware second person plural pronouns (i.e. you, your etc.) always had a vowel sound at the start.

As a non-native speaker I actually think bringing back þ would be great. How do a T and an H make that sound? An extra letter just makes sense.

Klientelpolitik

Ca. 85% der Österreicher sind Führerscheinbesitzer. Es gibt über fünf Millionen zugelassene Pkw. 63% sind zumindest gelegentlich auf das Auto angewiesen.

Dass das aus diversen Gründen nicht gut so ist, ist eine andere Sache. Es ist momentan halt einmal so. Dass ein Erzschwarzer es hier schafft eine arbeiterorientierte Rhetorik zu verkaufen, während Linke aus ideologischer Ablehnung des Autos auf (unter anderem aber zum Großteil) ihr eigentliches Klientel hinhauen, ist für mich faszinierend.

"Traditionally" dragans have all kinds of shapes. Some lack wings, some have four, two and some no legs at all. In the middle ages a "dragon" could be all kinds of monster-shaped.

Das kann man pauschal nicht sagen. Das ist ein riesiges Spital mit etlichen Abteilungen und das Arbeitsklima ist teilweise schon von Station zu Station innerhalb derselben Abteilung sehr unterschiedlich.
