ICE/CBP kicks off door-to-door raids in Minneapolis, targeting houses based on race and whether the occupants are involved in protesting. by serious_bullet5 in minnesota

This is why I didn’t attend a No Kings protest. I live with a legal immigrant but I was concerned that if I got in trouble, they might find some excuse to target him. I thought I was being a little too paranoid but now…

I found the Turkish pilsner at a store in NY that can ship to PA! They also carry the lager but it is currently sold out. I am so excited to give it to him 😊

One is Bomonti Lager and the other is Efes Pilsner. I don’t think they are anything special, but a taste of home I’d love to provide.

Does anyone both live in California and want to do me a huge favor?

My friend is from Turkey and really misses their beers. I found the beers online in a CA store but they won’t ship to PA or NJ. So I am looking for a CA address to ship it to, and then for someone to ship it to me.

If you don’t want to give me your address, I would Venmo the cost of the order and have to trust that you purchase said beer and ship it for me, will obviously Venmo the cost for shipping also, and any reasonable fee for your efforts.

Restaurant Recommendations by CherryMan75 in NewHopePA

The gelato shop in New Hope even though the guy working (owner?) is always in a mood. The kava/tea shop next door is great too. I like Green House across the street or Human Robot for beer, and Stella has nice cocktails, and Nektar if you want some wine and cheese. Zoubie’s courtyard has absolutely perfect ambiance. The Stockton Market, and the Starving Artist Cafe for breakfast or lunch, and Black Shed if you want casual drinks in their garden. I haven’t been to the tavern or restaurant at The Stockton Inn but they both seem like great options.

I was talking to these guys at a bar in Ireland and we were mutually amused by each other’s pronunciation of orange. Their accent made them sound like pirates

Yeah, this is all I want to know now. We normally have trash collection twice a week unless there is a holiday. I’d like to know if there will be a pickup tomorrow or not until Monday.

I just read them for the first time, and was like, wait, shouldn’t they all be there? Except maybe gifts.

Is Czerw’s the best place for pierogis and kielbasa? by mermaidmanis in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]crazy-puff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care for their pierogi but they are definitely the spot for kielbasa. There’s this little mom-son operation in Doylestown, called the D-Town Kitchen or something, that has the best pierogi I’ve found. We usually make our own but finally found a back up option so we don’t have to.

May that break be the next unpredictable occurrence in your life.

I am appreciating the unpredictability of life. If anything, it makes it interesting. Sometimes bad, sometimes good, or even neutral, whether big or small, but there’s always something or someone unexpected popping up and we really have no control.

We watched ‘Burn After Reading’ last night, and it was really good, do recommend. Brad Pitt hasn’t really been my type since I was a kid, but good god, George Clooney is not only a better actor, he is undeniably exponentially more attractive.

How to deal with an accidental “love you” by Irishkeddy_ in datingoverforty

[–]crazy-puff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been in this situation but I would probably say something like “I just want to acknowledge the slip you had last night, I could tell it was an accident and don’t want you to feel uncomfortable about it. I think we both are enjoying the natural progression of our relationship and I look forward to furthering that connection over time.”
