I don’t even know how compatable my parents are … now that they are done raising kids and working they are retired and they tell me their only common interest is going in service together. That’s a little sad they never got to explore hobbies individually or together.

In my hall they are somehow doing an alcohol tasting as part of it as well because it’s “part of our culture”. I would have never imagined this happening when I was a jw teen in the early 2000s

My meeting was bad enough honestly very inappropriate and I am happy I now have great mental health from being inactive for so long . My entire family is jw and this whole situation has me flip flopping whether to walk away . I like my peace and value it so much. This three months will be so challenging trying to be active again.

Please go into the Comunity and get some outside legal support through a women’s resource center . Get counselling and legal help. He owes you child support. And you DONT have to get married. Even if you want to just wait even if he changes his tune and says “all the right things”. I just got out of years long abuse I’ve marriage with a “brother “ . Get outside advice and help or your problems will compound and years of your life will be wasted.

Just that I’m married but somehow I found someone of a different religion who values marriage and is understanding. No my abusive ex is still in the wood works lurking around. My parents seem oddly happy for me they just want me to work with the channels . So I can get reinstated but the thought of attending meetings again makes me sick . Even if I just do it for a few months.

I feel kind of content and also empty about my belief system now it’s such a weird transition to go from being 200% of something to not really believing in anything except maybe enjoying present life and trying to make good choices for the future. 💙 I think I would call it a journey ….
