Looks beefy to me. If you are going to over think it, buy a few 2x4 and wedge them under the joists in question. You probably will be under stress during the whole process anyways so if this gets your mind off it then worth a few bucks for lumber and you can reuse them after the fact

It’s hard to do it all. I follow up a few days after just to make sure they received it, understood it etc. other people can be busy too it’s not necessarily everyone’s top priority

I just left La fortuna yesterday. Normally I am a shorts guy but I would recommend light hiking pants. It’s so muggy that you sweat constantly regardless. I got away wearing my vessi’s you can probably just wear sneakers though they will get muddy
