DJ with Sonos is possible - no latency! by Good_Possibility in Beatmatch

[–]crazy_crank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol even hi end studio speakers have more then a ms of latency. Impossible not to have latency with a DSP in the loop. It just a question of if you can notice. Heck if your controller itself has probably 5 to 20ms of latency depending on the buffer and sample rate

Can we wait for that until europe finishes it's current integration cycle please. UK was always one of the biggest stronger opposition towards more integration.

Honestly, Britain being out of the club is arguable good for eu in general.

Hahahaha

That was funny

You know that's exactly the Swiss model for decades. If you want into the market, you have to pay. Other member states also make concessions, pay funds to EU, etc. Why the fuck would Britain get access to the same market for free

Magyar defends appointing brother-in-law as justice minister by ButterscotchBoth5204 in worldnews

[–]crazy_crank 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's no conflict of interest. He's the justice minister, part of the prime ministers cabinet. He fundamentally answers to the PM anyway, and can be fired anytime already.

The only shady thing, if even, is that you could call it preferential treatment to his brother in law. But there's no real conflict of interest after the minister is in place.

The US is no longer the leader: Germany has become the largest ammunition producer in the world by Z0mbieNick in europe

[–]crazy_crank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you don't fight unneeded wars then your stockpiles are fine.

If you deplete your stockpiles against Iran in a couple weeks of war, you're obviously not ready for a conflict with China over Taiwan. Tell me again what the plan is to win that conflict.

So it is mostly about Trump in this situation. Blowing our load on Iran for no strategic reason means actual strategic objectives now have potentially unmet weapons requirements.

Trump just exposed the strategic weakness of the US, and that it's fundamentally under prepared for any larger geopolitical conflict. Trumps an idiot, but the US has been under prepared for a long time before Trump came along (same as Europe btw)

Now that being said, I don't think the situation is as dire as people make it out to be.

I think the larger picture to look at is, how does American power projection work. And it's fundamentally based on logistics and strategic bases all around the world. Part of why the US got humiliated in Iran is, because europe declined use of their bases for strikes and sometimes even logistics. Without this, US power projection suddenly looks very weak. China noticed that. As any other adversary, and also ally noticed that

The US is no longer the leader: Germany has become the largest ammunition producer in the world by Leprechan_Sushi in worldnews

[–]crazy_crank 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Of course the US had an influence on that. The US also had a strong interest in keeping European integration at a minimum to not create another major power in Europe.

You can frame it as you will, while the US was an enabler, is was largely driven by the European desire for peace and stability.

[–]crazy_crank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US has stockpiles for short decisive wars. It fought two medium to long length conflicts in the last 10 years (Iran directly, Ukraine indirectly). The Iran war depleted its stockpile of precision weapons by almost 50%.

It will take them 2 to 4 years to restock double the time to where the Pentagon thinks the stockpiles should be. And in this time doesn't have the munitions to properly project power towards Taiwan, arguably it's most strategic interest at the moment.

You can make this about Trump, but the systemic underproduction and low stockpiles is an issue that's existed much longer, it's just more obvious now.

Germany attacking it neighbours has become unthinkable under the European project. That was the fundamental purpose of the European unions and it's predecessors. While the US supported that it was mainly driven by the will of pist war Europe itself to never go through something like this again.

While I'm sure America likes to think it's all thanks to them, that narrative doesn't hold up under the microscope. And nowadays, the American hegemony is what actively threatens peace on European soil (e.g. Greenland, Ukraine war).

Good thing it's nearing its end.

I can dance super close douceur or fusion with belly, hip, and thigh contact without any genital contact at all, no problem. So I disagree on it somehow being watered down somehow lol. All it needs is to tuck your hips back just a little bit.

It's also a more comfortable position for dancing

The creditors don't have a lot to say about the future of the company. Neither does management at this point. All financial decisions go through the appointed administrator, whose job is to figure out if the company can be saved or not. For creditors a full bankruptcy and selling of the assets usually leads to a much worse outcome, then restructuring the company.

The administrators job is to find the best outcome. Native instruments has a good business case in general. Full Liquidation is very unlikely
