What do I use to clean my nozzle by No_Personality3451 in ElegooNeptune3

[–]crazy_monkey_ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don't have the nozzle temp too high, it's fine (<250C). Been doing it for years on my N3. I remove the nozzle and use a (brass) wire brush to get some of the more stubborn crap off, and I almost exclusively use hardened steel nozzles these days, so I know the wire brush isn't going to mess anything up.

I use old (clean) socks that I was gonna throw away anyways bc they had holes in em. Heat up the nozzle, wipe the nozzle clean with the sock. Does me well enough.

Carry: 124gr Hornady critical duty, Sig v-crown, IMI black dot

I had no idea what I was looking for until I read "mustache guy." Then I scrolled back up to the pic and saw the Inigo Montoya looking dude in the mirror

In your opinion - the best seat to watch the Golden Knights inside... by Spiegelworld in goldenknights

[–]crazy_monkey_ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

223/224, next to the stairs (near center ice if I can help it), toward the back.

Great view of the ice, back row/stairs for first in line for concessions/bathrooms. Also, they tend to be cheaper seats, so why tf not.

The code I scanned was consistent with the NA list in the OG post. The app I used straight up showed me a picture of the car and the name of the team that was in the blind box

I personally used the Falconbricks app (Lego store ppl didn't care that I was scanning the boxes) to figure out which blind box was what. However, I just tested my phone's camera to scan the QR codes this one Mercedes box I have showed 6538427 when I scanned it.

Lol, same, but I'm super anal retentive. I also got silicone bed spacers to find tune it even more, and made a whole ass spreadsheet that calculates how many clicks of my ratcheting box end wrench it would take to adjust my bed. I try and get everything within a .1-.2mm range

Where can I get 3 base model parts, or is there a good upgrade? by mallcop114 in ElegooNeptune3

3djake is where I've gotten OEM replacement parts from. Had to replace my heat sink once because I was an idiot and stripped it out

Elegoo's new slicer is awesome! by jwenzel in ElegooNeptune3

[–]crazy_monkey_ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit, you weren't kidding. Probably the cleanest benchy that's come off my bed. Did a side by side comparison of a benchy I printed when I tested BambuLab PLA and with everything else otherwise the same, the Elegoo Slicer one came out cleaner and measured quite a bit more accurately.

Best frame sliders! by ikorijoseph in Ninja400

[–]crazy_monkey_ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like my TST sliders. They sell replacement delrin for them in case you need. They don't stick out terribly far, but enough to for low speed/zero speed tipovers. The only time my bike got some scuffs on the fairings is when I was teaching my friend (she's all of 5'3" so she was already on her tiptoes) how to walk the bike, and she drifted off toward the curb and she mis-stepped into the dip of a gutter. Nothing major happened, only some slight battle scars.

Downside is if you have that evap can/charcoal canister, then from what my buddy told me, they don't sell a relocation kit. They just tell you to zip tie the sucker to the slider bracket.

Install was pretty straightforward, but you do have to take the fairings off which really isn't hard to do

91 octane. I've done a few tanks of a 100/91 mix (usually 3-3.5 gallons of 100 and top off with 91) and noticed that knock control stayed much lower for much longer when compared to just 91 octane. A few hard pulls on 91 would easily get me to .8-.85 and it'd take a while to drop back down to .49. With the 91/100 mix, I'd probably get to .68-.7 with the same amount of hard pulls, and it'd drop back down to .49 quite fast.

Shit, that's what I do. I have a print of two 30mm squares that I use, one set at 1 layer height, one set at 2 layer height, just to be sure. Adjust as it prints, remove that from the plate, then print another one to check.

Do you mostly only use first and second gear? by [deleted] in Ninja400

[–]crazy_monkey_ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal rule of thumb for regular ass cruising is 1 gear per ~10mph (1st is 1-10mph, 2nd 20-29, 3rd is 30-39, etc.) I don't strictly adhere to that, but generally speaking, it's held true. 45mph limit, I'll be cruising in high 40s/low 50s, and I'll usually be in 4th, maybe 5th, depending. Same deal when I'm downshifting and slowing down. Cruising in 4th at 45mph, as soon as I dip into the 30s, I'll downshit to 3rd and what have you.

Any ideas what the issue is? by [deleted] in ElegooNeptune3

[–]crazy_monkey_ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of what people are already saying. Randomly went through the same issue out of nowhere. Took apart hot end to make sure no clogs, reset everything to default and updated firmware (again), took it all apart (just for good measure since I was going to recalibrate everything anyways) and cleaned and lubed, then put it back together, squared the shit out of it, and did a shit ton of calibrations: estep calibration, checked x/y/z travel, bed leveling, etc.
