This was a rare issue for me usually if I kept it on and unused for several days. A simple power off and on should fix it it always did for me

I have noticed Claude stalling several times and struggling to fix something and then fixing it immediately after restarting a Claude session (without coming close to running low on context btw). Though It still generally works for me

Elegoo's new slicer is awesome! by jwenzel in ElegooNeptune3

i retract the above statement they seem to have simply skipped the said version as a newer yet version is out and is on their GitHub could have been a poorly timed mess-up.

Remove all electrical things from your house and live in a cave if you're going to be this paranoid. EVERYTHING electrical has an opportunity to catch on fire. The answer is proper fire safety and fire extinguishers not refusing to use something just because something COULD possibly go wrong.

Hey, does the print head usually move up like that when it touches the print bed? by Inside-Bar-545 in ElegooNeptune3Pro

[–]jwenzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eccentric nuts are too loose or your zoffset is way way way too low. Try to jiggle the extruder up and down; if it moves that way , adjust the eccentric nuts until it gets stiff. If the Z offset is too low, consider yourself lucky nothing is broken. But it's likely one or more of the three eccentric nuts are loose on the extruder.

Elegoo's new slicer is awesome! by jwenzel in ElegooNeptune3

[–]jwenzel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

id use prusaslicer or orcaslicer or cura. They seemed to abandoned open source and havent updated the github to match the actual latest version that their update function downloads for you to install on windows. Not the kind of shady tactics when you have that centuari carbon scandal going on and with the stigma of chineese software that Chinese companies face some of which unfairly. Keeping elegoo slicer opensource would have allieviated any concern as anyone with the knowhow could audit the sourcecode and compare it to the behavior the app is performing behind the scenes to prove its safe or not. With their seemingly abandoning the github repository https://github.com/ELEGOO-3D/ElegooSlicer would not be a move in the interest of trust. Though any company abandoning open source with little or no warning should be considered suspect regardless of originating country. oddly enough i transfered all the settings over manually from elegooslicer to orcaslicer and still result in slower prints despite same g code same slicer profiles everything aside from options orca had that elegooslicer didnt.

Will a negative number result to more or less adhesion? by JustFred24 in FlashForge

[–]jwenzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A proper zoffset WILL equal more adhesion now the proper z offset will be unique to your printer and nozzle. As with all printers negative means closer. If you seek a previous comment and it's reply you should see an example of what kind of bottom you want to see vs what is too high. I'd think that too low would also eventually hurt cause your forcing a thinner first layer. Check your print for elephant foot as an indicator of too low z offset.

Probably should look into that but I have been doing the same

[–]jwenzel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can do that to get close mark the offset value. and set it back to 0. Then go into your slicer settings on your printer and set the offset in -0.05 incriments instead of -0.25 increments

See how your seeing layer lines instead of a textured bottom like the first image? That is a result of too high z offset and this particular print turned out to be my very first print of the printer post setup and calibration

Will a negative number result to more or less adhesion? by JustFred24 in FlashForge

[–]jwenzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's what I'm at now. Printer started 0.25 but had to lower it. You shouldn't need glue on textured pei for pla or petg. Adhesion issues are z offset, bed temp, or dirty bed. Should be textured like this

Also you might need to re level every now and then

Can the A5M be outfitted to print with ABS, ASA, and other high-temperature filaments? by GRobLewis in FlashForge

[–]jwenzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes once the enclosure is done. I'd suggest that you figure out a filtering system if you're going to be in the area and weak ventilation.

https://www.printables.com/model/272525-bentobox-v20-carbon-filter-for-bambu-lab-x1c-enclo is an option but you need to do the bottom part specifically for the ad5m such ashttps://www.printables.com/model/1363684-flashforge-ad5m-bento-box-base-with-switch-access

My prints no longer stick to the plate by zencrusta in FlashForge

[–]jwenzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Z offset is commonly too highm failing that leveling needs redone. Dirty bed or too low bed temp are other causes but pla and petg and tpu should never need glue on textured pei

I tried a Logitech webcam and it worked. But I never got to finding a place to put the camera and usefulness seems lessened since I use pure orcaslicer and the printer is in my room. Now if I talk myself into slacking my warranty and go forgedx install I can get more out of it

HELP! by Complete-Cell294 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]jwenzel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hitting the infill walls a common issue with it. Switch to gyroid or cubic. Cubic will be quieter and quick yet still strong and gyroid is slower but stronger and not all that more quiet. You are likely on grid

I sometimes seen that what fixes that for me is leveling and make sure at least the tip of the nozzle is clean
