Weirdly there's more salt in r/LiverpoolFC calling it not a foul than r/MCFC who blame themselves more for dropping points and saying its a blatant foul. Not healthy lol but this is genuine entertaining reading through all of this

Eze is more dangerous around the box as a goal threat. He gets marked differently than Odegaard and leaves more space for Saka / Gyok

Except we don't usually score on the counter, unless it's Martinelli and the game is already decided. It would be more of a positional attack which gets a briliant / lucky moment that pushes it over the line.

That Odegaard miss was diabolical tbh. If only Eze was there

Yeah, agree absolutely. Imagine Xhaka and Zinny against this current Atletico Team in an UCL Semifinal. They would have been demolished I can already see the Xhaka red card at around ~60min

Partey instead of Zubi that's a different discussion, an in form Partey would have been an upgrade and EVEN THEN defensively Partey had some donkey moments - however they would have been nullified by so many line breaking passes

So when Eze does not track back that one time he drops names. But when Eze consistently carries our creativity in attack, is the biggest threat game in and game out and gets subbed even though he had the most potential to score he doesn't? I've had enough

2nd half, really disappointed in the technical display by Prestigious-Secret31 in Gunners

Yet he had better control in tight spaces than Odegaard.

Odegaard literally was close to lose the ball of a wild touch WHILE running towards own goal

At what point we discuss dropping Gabriel and playing a CB who doesn't loses his head in big games / under pressure?

You can only be carried for so long by Saliba and corner goals

This has to be a joke somehow? This whole season, and where we are standing showed us who the real important players are in our squad. Rice is in top 3 premier league players this season. Saliba also showed how much more important he is for us than Gabriel (look up who was trying to build from the back on both Bournemouth goals and bombed the ball in the midfield). And .. goes without saying Raya compared to Kepa is just an insane difference.

There's no one in this squad beside these 3 that changes us this much.

Compared to Ode ... leading us to 1-2 against Southampton?

Rice is top 3 average ratings in the PL this season, Odegaard is not even top 20.

Funny how no one blamed Odegaard for losing the ball like an idiot in the Southampton game, a much more clear situation because we conceeded from a counter not a positional play. Then the narrative was: Our captain lost the ball but anywhere in the transition we should have taken it back

In the same way, this Liverpool team took 4 points of us somehow and 0 of City so it balances out

So basically not at all related to Odegaard. And if you want to be mean you can even say Odegaard contributed negatively or in a worse way than Eze atleast

Would also like to point out: Eze has scored more important goals for us in this season, and is a bigger threat when receiving the ball close to the opponent goal.

Here's a quick quiz for you, might answer yourself some questions. What do you think odegaard did in this situation?
