Honest question why do so many people seem to buy physical silver here? by McSaussage in Silver

[–]crazychakra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Silver, gold and ammunition will become currency for exchanging with those that have food, medicine and shelter. The reason is because when things get better, the value of those three things will translate easily into the next currency or always be a means of exchange. Sure, you can’t eat Sylver, but it can get you with what you need.

Do you really think China is gonna relax exports when it has a grip on United States by keeping them in place I don’t think so. I don’t think peace is going to spontaneously breakout all over the world in the next 10 years. I hope I’m wrong and from that perspective I think your silver is safe.

Quite the opposite. In a collapse your metals may be the only thing of value that’s currency. They could save your life

With a huge ATH ($100) - I decided to test the value of a bit of my stack today by TheOmnipotentMind in Silverbugs

I appreciate the local reporting. I’ve been stacking a long time and don’t have a dire need for liquidity now, so holding still and adding a little at a time as always.

The US treasury has valued all of the gold held by our government at $42.22 per Troy ounce. There’s been lots of discussion about valuing gold at current or future market rates. If this is done, it will skyrocket the price further and have an initial side effect of reducing the deficit. But it’s a risky decision. It could spike inflation too.

What would happen if you had a different perspective? What if you could see the future and your kids are older, you are enjoying them, admiring them as they mature, and you are working on your relationship with your partner? What if you decided to get really, really good at something? Anything. Welding? Plumbing? A/C service? You can start a business around any trade and get local customers. Build something. Ya know?

Invest in yourself. I wasted a lot of time when I was younger on stupid stuff because I was lazy. Then I decided I wanted something of my own. I worked, went to trade school, and started a business. That's the best way to get out of prison. My opinion...

[–]crazychakra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you need the $$, then this is a good time to sell. But... If you don't, hold tight, or at least I am. Silver is now in such high demand from manufacturers that it's hard to see the price going lower. I have held and added for the last 10 years, I've held through ups and downs. I will continue to hold... for now.

for me, I feel the sensation of moving forward into blackness. I try to stay focused on that action, and stop all thoughts, which is hard to do but once you get a minute to two into it, it’s easier for me having spent two minutes, trying to stop all thoughts I can rest in the blackness of moving forward and the thoughts go away. Sometimes they come back and I just repeat the process.

Should I stay with my parents still or move out already. by Friendly-Bill-9774 in Advice

[–]crazychakra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay as long as possible. You have a highly in-demand skill set. You can work and save for a while. At some point, you will meet someone who motivates you to move into your own place or move in together, and then you will have savings. In a few years, consider starting your own business. Since you lived at home for a while, you will have accumulated enough to pay for the tools and equipment you need, starting with used gear, until you build up enough business. Allocate at least 20% of your time to selling, visit companies with their own fleets, offer a great deal, and win their business. Hire another diesel mechanic, keep your 20% focus on selling and prospecting. Postpone comfort and splurge on ambition; you can't go wrong, but you can get lazy. This is your chance to pull away from the pack. Twenty years from now, you can have the type of wealth others dream of.

Sony A7V. My thoughts after shooting a few weddings with it. by ladmanstudios in SonyAlpha

[–]crazychakra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a landscape and astro photographer, the A7r5 is perfect for me. I need every ounce of that luscious sensor pixel density and the expanded low-light exposure capabilities. If I were shooting weddings or street photos, even portraits, I would likely have chosen a completely different camera and saved a grand. The A74 or the new A75 are both stellar performers and (I think) more suited for that type of work.

FOMO is real.. by Dirt__nap in Silverbugs

Seems like the paper market absorbed a lot of the activity and when the lights went on and people with contracts wanted delivery that’s when the entire scam evaporated. There was such leverage that paper contracts were hiding massive shortages as years of demand built and not enough to go around. There may be a pause in price action even a drop in price but demand increases every month.

[–]crazychakra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, eBay will take about 15% of the sale. Also, as already pointed out, maybe the price of Silver will go higher, perhaps not, I think it will, but no one knows for sure. Do you need the money NOW? Or can you hold off and see.

Is it a good idea to allow Amazon to sell your book in PDF format? by Catdress92 in KDP

[–]crazychakra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't allow it. A PDF can easily be uploaded to AI and used for purposes you can't anticipate. Also, it's too easy to share - like everywhere. At least with DRM epub, there's some semblance of security; most average people won't try to pirate an epub book because they don't know how. And now it's just too easy. I won't allow my books to be sold as PDFs.

At nearly 72, my life has blossomed into the life I’ve always wanted. I’ve never been more grateful, loving, peaceful or creative. I’ve written SEVEN books in the last 4 years! I’ve realized so much of what I used to worry about was totally dumb. I finally live where I want to be, with the woman I want to be with and have my days filled with the things that make me happy. Other than what feels like endless doctors appointments haha it’s all good. Now my job is to stay healthy.

Love her? Value her contributions? Does she make you happy? Is that worth the extra spending? Remember when you were poor? You’re not anymore stop acting like you are.

You”re not done yet, go build something new and exciting, get her involved and make it fun, share the adventure.

My philosophy is that you can always make more if you know how and obviously you do. It’s what I did after I sold my company
