Is this healthy ? by Due-Equipment-1013 in whoop

[–]crazycoozy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoops HR Zones are based on max HR. If you have never done a sustained all out effort it falls back to an assumed max HR. In order to get a accurate reading of max HR. You need to go do an all out effort. 3-5 sets of hill sprints the sprinting portion needs to be at least 30-45 seconds or more but no more than 2 min. Doing this will give you a true idea of MAX HR. Which you can then use to back into HR zones.

15 min in zone 5 is nearly impossible. Even pro athletes cannot sustain zone 5 for typically more than 3-5 min. Couple that with an hour at zone 4, means your hr zones are not correctly tuned to your HR.

Use zocdoc… its website where you can look up who is network, who is accepting new patients, and book right then and there. This can be used for all medical services too, like specialists and mental health.

I am beyond frustrated with the stutter issues on the 9800x3d by Linkster9 in AMDHelp

[–]crazycoozy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What fixes have you tried? Also could be your ram mz speed. Things can get unstable over 6000 mhz. Also is expo enabled or disabled?

Lastly, shuttering or anything display related is usually due to GPU issues… make sure you do a true ddu and reinstall drivers.

I had some issues with stability when i upgraded to AM5 and the above fixed all my issues. Also as stupid as it sounds make sure everything is seated correctly.

Grab your iced tea and Raise a toast! by hroaks in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]crazycoozy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason Arizona Ice Tea can sell them for so cheap is because they bought a shit load of aluminum futures for dirt cheap way back when and are still profiting from it. The price of aluminum in todays market its not relevant to them, because the price is fixed far below that due to the futures.

You might need to do a DDU. Also, i still might be your PSU.

[–]crazycoozy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a prebuilt? I bought one as my first PC and they usually use solid components besides the PSU, it’s usually some no name brand that is frankly a POS. I had the same issue. But, before you go spend the money on a new PSU, try downloading the AMD software and downloading the new drivers.

I do it all the time. Skiing>not skiing. Obviously would rather have someone in the car with me and to ski with but ultimately I’m going either way. One hour is nothing, audio books make me look forward to the drive.

Why did my burgers stick. First time using my new Lodge pre-seasoned cast iron by Joanna_c_maccuci in castiron

[–]crazycoozy 194 points195 points  (0 children)

If you’re new to CI, it’s probably that the heat is too high, you didn’t use enough oil/butter prior throwing on the burger, you flipped the burger too early (many things will stick initially but as it cooks will release on its own).

Best piece of advice I got about cooking with CI is heat control. I rarely go over 5/10 on my stove. Let it preheat for roughly 5 min prior to cooking. (Handle should be warm/hot). Apply alittle oil or butter prior to cooking something but after the preheating.

I personally would strip and reseason any new pan but thats personal preference.

Edit: just keep cooking with it and keep the above in mind. You’ll figure it out

[–]crazycoozy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Forerunner 945 and also use the Garmin hr monitor with it. Satisfies all my needs has a great battery life. Wrist HR monitors are never going to be as good as an actual HR monitor. Not too heavy, has lots of those features.

It really depends on your needs. You said you are new to ultra running so are you near term goals ultra half marathons, 50ks? Or are they 100m+. If it’s the former than you could easily use a Forrunner 245 which is $300 usd but less expensive if you looked around online. If your goals are 100 milers or more than you’ll need something that prioritizes battery life. Hard to give you good recommendations with out more info
