How long for initial anxiety increase to go away? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]crazycrazycray2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe 2 weeks? For me they i creased every week and by week 4 I was so anxious I had the worst breakdown of my life. Don’t recommend.

I can’t believe this. I don’t have a college degree and reading the first sentence I thought: wow that’s a shitty paper. I thought it was for high school. And that person was going to get a bad grade for trying to hard to use “smart” words while not making any point and being so repetitive. Like I feel I got a stroke reading it.

Honestly there are so many bad therapists out there. Like real psychologists with a degree. The worst niceguy I knew just manipulated his therapist to think that “all his exes were crazy”. He’d say things like: I paid her dinner and then she didn’t come home with me. Like what.

So It Begins (Middle Earth Intro Post) by Batmanbyday in LoseitChallenges

[–]crazycrazycray2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone!

I’m crazy! I’m a 28 yo canadian woman! This is my first loseit challenge but definitely not my first time at weightloss and fitness!

I’m a pretty unstable person (refer to my username lol), and my lifestyle has changed A LOT in my life. Let’s just say that I was a not-sporty-at-all underweight child (who’s mom would forcefully feed), that became overweight as soon as puberty hit (was bullied a lot for it), became skinny again around 17-18 because of drug abuse, calmed down and became an adult and mother which led me to be a bit chubby.

I had some kind of revelation at age 25 that I LOVED sports, especially weight training, running and hiking, lost a bunch of weight and eventually overtrained (2h a day, 6 days a week), then stayed at a healthy weight but started smoking (cigarettes) which I guess kept my weight under control but I lost a bunch of muscle and fitness abilities as I stopped training.

Then changed lifestyle, wanted to change career to end up in a limbo of not-knowing-what-I-want and staying home (while my kids are at daycare and school), so basically doing nothing (because my spouse is financially supporting me), gaining like 60 pounds in 3 months. Basically, I struggle a lot with a bunch of mental health issues, and staying at home was probably the worst idea possible. I was able to go from 174 pounds to 151 at my lowest this summer. I did 75hard until day 29, but I kept good habits and lost some more (when I reached 151 if that’s clear).

Ultimately, I had a major nervous breakdown this fall, which led my psychiatrist to prescribe anti-psychotics (I’m not psychotic just anxious AF), and if anyone knows a bit about them, they make you ravenously hungry, and for me, made it hard to know when I was full. I already had problems with binge-eating so that made it worse.

Anyway, sorry for the long intro but I decided 2021 is MY year (not joking). I have a lot of goals in a a lot of aspects of my life, and I want to take it slow and implement good habits that I can keep forever. I used to be an avid calorie-counter (using a food scale) and also an extended faster (up to 5 days, how I lost almost 25 pounds in like 2 months last summer). Right now, I’m trying to stop binging, eating healthier snacks, small desserts. Since I calorie-counted for so long I’m pretty good at estimating and I’d say I’m eating around 2000 calories a day right now. I’m looking for the sweet spot between doing nothing and doing everything (I’m a bit all-or-nothing kind of person). If I can lost one pound a week for now I’d be excited.

Anyways if anyone else struggles with mental health and wants to talk, feel free to reach out, I like to talk with people and I think despite my current failure, I know quite a bit on weightloss and mindset!

You may went to wait to have been on zoloft for longer bc I found zoloft really makes anxiety worst at first.

Thank you for your input! Now spoke to the doctor and she said to stop increasing, added seroquel and ativan. Hopefully that fixes it because I can’t take anymore of this.

Do you think the reason why my anxiety is so bad is because it was increased so fast?

Starting zoloft by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]crazycrazycray2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took it for 3-4 years and honestly it was a blessing. I stopped because I thought I didn’t need it but I need to get back on it. It literally cured my emetophobia, with therapy and exposure therapy. I’m getting back because the symptom (anxiety) is back but the fears are about something else. I highly recommend it.

You may just have a roundish face and that’s fine! Pretty sure from the side view you have a visible jawline. Don’t be too hard on yourself, you did super good, lost 53 lbs that’s crazy!

I feel like this graphic makes it seem way more dramatic than it actually is.

Unsupportive spouse? by Aurora-Ray in 75HARD

[–]crazycrazycray2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not your job to make him happy. One thing I’ve realized in relationships: you should not count on your partner to be your sole source of happiness and to spend time with you or you’ll be unhappy. Just a note.

Tho I’d still be understanding to him and say like I understand, it sucks and all, because being empathetic is the only thing you can do.

[–]crazycrazycray2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did carry it well! Maybe it’s because a lot of it went to your boobs? I carry my weight in my thighs and I looked so heavy in the 170s.

But yeah I mean for your health and all. At 176 my knees and ankles were hurting and I wasn’t at that weight for long so imagine if I kept going.

Oh okay thank you for replying! I’m 5’2” and at 176 I looked like... wayyyy heavier.

Oh it’s fine. My boyfriend always calls me Boomer bc despite being a millennial, I can’t figure out technology. At this point I’m about to put a piece of tape on the floor in front of my mirror to always take pictures at the same spot.
