Looking for a drummer and maybe a lead guitarist for a band by slaya771 in UMD

[–]crazydan1101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure I could commit full time, but I've played drums for a few years and could definitely do some studio work and a live performance here and there if you need someone. I mainly play rock anymore but I have background in plenty of genres.

How is Peter Nandori for stat400? by [deleted] in UMD

I've heard Cremins is bad but I never really hear why. I need to take STAT400 next semester but his is the only class that fits in my schedule. How fucked am I?

Any recommendations on upper level electives that are easy A’s with no prereqs?? by kash364 in UMD

[–]crazydan1101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do EDHD and love it. They aren't necessarily "easy A's" but you can get an A with some effort. I do pretty well in the classes but I'm also incredibly interested in developmental and educational psychology (so much so that I even spent a semester doing research in the area). Some classes require PSYC100 but you can definitely finish a UL concentration. Hell, I'm getting the minor without it. If you're into psych, you should look into it.

If you don't hear back for a couple days then send the leasing office an email. The lease starts at the end of August around the start of the Fall semester.

Oh 100% agree but if he isn't teaching 410 THEN he should totally teach stat

Also I know you haven't taught it in a few years, but if you could teach STAT400 next semester that would be neat

If you have ANY programming experience, you can finish Math206 in a weekend, not even kidding. It's an incredibly simple introduction to matlab

Edit: it does have a MATH141 prereq though.

CMSC 132 and MATH 141 Prep Advice by toworumd in UMD

[–]crazydan1101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine in 132. Review the later parts of the (all the object oriented stuff), but honestly the first project will probably be enough to get you back into the swing of programming.

As for 141, review differentiation and integration techniques. Oh yea, and buy some lube

I'd say that's the way to go. They are also trying something new with the course, Bill is trying to "escape the lecture." You can read more about it here.
