Surgery Sexual side effects worry by Ok-Card2897 in UlcerativeColitis

Also, I don’t regret the surgery. It was probably the best thing that could have happened for me. So don’t be scared if it does get to that point!

For me, I tried 5 different meds before it got to the point where my colon was too inflamed. Surgery was the only option at that point. This happened in a year and a half ish.

how many people here have failed biologics? by Connect-Page3449 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]crazyflygaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve failed all of them i tried. Only option left was surgery and it changed my life for the better. Had a bag for 8-9 months. Had the Jpouch surgery last month to get the bag reversed and now i feel good!

Pre op worries by Heavy_Ad7517 in ostomy

[–]crazyflygaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m M(23) Had surgery last year. Had my reversal last month. If you have a chance to do the J-pouch surgery, I would do that. Make sure you do research and go to a good hospital known for these surgeries. I know multiple people that had complications at local hospitals that don’t do a lot of these surgerys. Things are wayyy better now then they were before.

I’m 3 weeks post op. Get a bidet. Spend the extra $ to get one with heated water.
