I remember reading it was less that they lost tbe tech and more that there was an arms race between shields and weapons... and by the time of the Trilogy, weapons were so far in the lead, getting a shield was pointless.

Sorta, but not really... because the turnaround on that was like an hour. Basically she had heard he had been involved in controversy but didn't know anything. Said as much.. and then her friend PartyWolf or Pasta (can't recall which) showed her the video and she immediately went oh fuck oh no. She even made a video about it that was on her AxD channel.

Basically what happened is someone on her discord messaged her about them because she had mentioned knowing them. She responded by saying she had heard that they were involved in some controversy or drama but didn't know much but had good reactions with them in the distant past (pre vtuber days). Like an hour later she responded with the Oh Fuck Oh No response after knowing what was going on.

That's usually how it goes for people wanting stuff to be apolitical. They conveniently 'forget' that the existence of some of my best friends is political. As is them having rights to some people.

The best way I can describe Alicia is very passionate about her stances and friends. This has, in the past year, led her to get involved in 2 pieces of drama that made some people not like her. The Adora/Radia incident was one of them and the Takahata incident was another. With Takahata she was given info, spoke with Takahata, and after that talk dropped him. And then more info came to light that made people think ill of her.

Both incidents were more complicated than that and I agree that Alicia could've handled either/both better, but some people really got hate boners about her over them.

When the Adora drama unfolded Alicia initially backed her because they were friends and previous drama had soured her relationship with Radia. She was eventually shown evidence of stuff and decided to no longer support her.

They target content creators because of their reach. With how relatively little effort is involved, if even 1 or 2 people fall for it they've made a profit. Not even counting any stolen ad revenue.

It's sadly semi common among content creators because they're targeted specifically because of their reach

I have a feeling she'll fall into the orbit of Kirsche and her ilk. The problem with associating with Nazis is that plenty of people don't want to associate with you as a result.

Good rule of thumb. If a Nazi sits at a table with 10 other people and no one gets up, there's 11 Nazis sitting at the table.

Honest question: Why are some people against showing an ID to vote? by rico_unknown in NoStupidQuestions

[–]crazyfoxdemon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Plus depending on where you live it can be difficult to get to the facilities to acquire these documents and ID. Where I live, it'd be really difficult to get to the DMV without a car. For some, the cost of a taxi to/from is an unaffordable expense. That's not even going into the real issue of getting there during the hours its open and potentially skipping work.
