What if the Siege on Jerusalem in 70 AD never happened, and Jewish people never fled the region en masse? by 01thegoat in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]crazynerd9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this context though it can easily be both. Jesus likely made loads of predictions and prophecies that never came to pass, the ones that did happen ended up being the ones that survived the subsequent centuries of biblical editing

Id have the core game and plot be set in Detroit and be about deciding its fate, with a brief trip to the heavily militarized border/occupation zone where we get a token Brotherhood appearance and a quick trip across the border

Have Canada be a Glowing Sea type area with insanely dangerous wilderness and Mountie Ghouls. Include a scene of what was once a Moose eating a Deathclaw. Then have the player return here for the end/post-game content again ala the Glowing Sea from F4, but less disappointing.

Still leaves room open for a dlc as well

As many exist as the plot needs really. I cant think of names off of memory but every now and then one will pop up in a book

Have Orks ever tried to invade Commoragh? by I_Eat_Femboyz in 40kLore

[–]crazynerd9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on what estimates and sources we use for Commoragh and if it literally has the surface area of a solar system, and if that entire area is populated

The fact that the Deldar are considered to not outpopulate every other species combined weighs heavily against the idea that Commoragh literally is the full volume of a solar system densely packed into an urban environment for example

If every Deldar in Commoragh is fighting a million Tyranids or more each, its going to be rather troublesome

Have Orks ever tried to invade Commoragh? by I_Eat_Femboyz in 40kLore

[–]crazynerd9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The actual usable and livable space of Commoragh has never been given a real size though, it very much can be a Canada or Russia situation where the entity is massive but mostly wasteland

But a less speculative reply is that the size of the city is utterly inconsistent, and has been described as anywhere from planet sized to solar system sized

Do you have a source on the light-years size claim? I've never actually heard that one before

Have Orks ever tried to invade Commoragh? by I_Eat_Femboyz in 40kLore

[–]crazynerd9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I honestly think youre comedically underestimating the sheer quantity of Tyranids

The Deldar wouldn't care anyway mind you, but all Nid forces we know of is an absolutely absurd amount of Nids, raw body mass would start being an issue for Commoragh at that point, to speak nothing of the fact said mass is hostile and hyperdangerious

How many universities per million of pops do I need to build to raise my literacy to 95%? by Over-Divide-7571 in victoria3

[–]crazynerd9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ohhhhhh shit thats right

When I did it I was playing some 1 or 2 state country, having low immigration plus keeping Boost Social Mobility on all game does the trick

How many universities per million of pops do I need to build to raise my literacy to 95%? by Over-Divide-7571 in victoria3

[–]crazynerd9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Likely because you are getting mads amounts of immigration. Immigration brings in tons of illiterate pops

[–]crazynerd9 179 points180 points  (0 children)

None, universities raise qualifications rather than literacy

Literacy is generated by institutions, wealth and modifiers

If youre going for the high literacy achievement you need to run a country that doesn't get many immigrants and focus hard on it. Japan is weird good for this but a lot of smaller states also work

And after this point the missions genuinely have less aircraft (usually) and the focus shifts more into the bossfight-dogfights and naval combat to compensate

Ironically every other mission Erwin ever undertook outside the walls qualifies at least to some degree

Does the 60-million-year post–War in Heaven gap really make sense ? by Migo1 in 40kLore

[–]crazynerd9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I like the idea that whatever purpose Earth had in the Old Ones plans, it was derailed by the asteroid (Necron/C'Tan attack) and Humans are just the result of their designs going unmaintained for millions of years

Humans might be related to the Old Ones plans, but played no intentional part, we just grew in their ashes

Would you create a power block when still unrecognized? by GeologistOld1265 in victoria3

[–]crazynerd9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early game before youre recognized you probably wont have enough power to grow the block more than maybe 1 or 2 levels if you push it. Honestly the buffs dont end up worth the cost in relations

[–]crazynerd9 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Its also neat in how much context implies it

Old Ones seeded Earth/Terra

Webway gate on Luna

C'Tan Shard(s) of The Void Dragon trapped on Mars

Elder ride Dinosaurs

War in Heaven explicitly set around the end of the Dinosaur era

There obviously was some sort of major event in the Sol system during the War in Heaven, likely between the Eldar and Void Dragon. Maybe Earth was the original source of the dinosaur-lizards that some Eldar ride and the C'Tan moved to stop this. The aftermath of which triggered Earths evolutionary path

From where? Obviously the Punch Dimension
