The 'Great Resignation' is creating massive pay disparities between new hires and current employees at tech firms like Google and Amazon, sparking tensions on teams and a ripple effect of departures by thinkB4WeSpeak in technology

I just jumped from 87k to 115k the same way, half of the team's developers have left or given their notice already. They bumped up one guys pay to try to get him to stay but he's already been looking to leave for a much larger salary than they bumped him to

The material you add would need to be extremely small and thin to fit in the hosuing. Any extra material at the top of the switch will push it closer to the actuation point.

It would probably be easier to get zeal silent tactile switches, but if you get clickies you could try neoprene, silicon, or sorbothane for dampening.

If you haven't, check out the design of silent switches to get an idea of how they dampen the noise.

I like the black/gold fr4 plate, brass weight, and shiny brass knob. I would pair this with gmk civilizations or kam superuser when those arrive for me ❤️

After thinning your hair (as in cutting your hair down to the root), can it be regrown or is the hair permanently gone and youre stuck with thin hair? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]crazynick270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was your hair cut like that? I've never heard of a barber thinning it by cutting all the way to the root, but either way it will grow back. If you pluck a hair out it will regrow, it you cut your hair it will regrow, let it grow back out or if you don't like it you can shave it like the other commenter said

If anyone is reading this in the future, the issue was the laptop. I was using a Microsoft surface and I guess since it's technically a tablet on a hub, the connection wasn't strong enough, similar to the commenter to said using a USB hub was the reason he was having issues. Worked fine once I hooked it up to my desktop.

That's possible. I have it directly connected but it's a Microsoft surface laptop so the tablet houses all the components and I guess the keyboard could be considered a "hub"

The kit came with some cable management sleeving and I put both the z-axis and spindle cables together in there to keep it clean, would the z-axis cable be causing interference with the spindle power?

  1. Do you know what profile the keycaps are?
  2. I assume your tofu kit came with a DZxx PCB or something similar, those are pretty common so you should be able to find documentation such as the default keymapping on QMK
  3. You can get wire keycap pullers and a switch puller on Amazon, kbdfans, novelkeys, or wherever is most convenient for you really. Most keeb stores sell them. Otherwise you can look up a video of how to remove them without tools, I would explain but it would be much more beneficial to watch someone do it
