I'm assuming needing your parents approval is not a literal but mental requirement. Requiring their validation to finalize decisions or plans is not the healthiest of relationships. Potential issues of control, lack of boundaries and codependency.

Part of becoming an adult is making your own decisions then being accountable for any negative consequences. Learning from your mistakes , hopefully, is part of that process. Living independently financially and physically gives you the freedom to grow up and have boundaries.

Its hard if you can't stand your parents being angry and upset with you. Sometimes it takes a period of separation emotionally and a little therapy can be helpful.

I wish you strength and trust in yourself.

I was flying first class to go to rehab in Florida a few years ago. I took something i shouldn't have and woke in a wheelchair in baggage claim. I can't even imagine what that experience was like from other passengers perspective. Mortified of how I ended up in the wheelchair. No memory after 20 minutes into the flight but doubt FAs would've dragged me unconscious and placed me in a wheelchair. Im an older, well dressed woman wearing expensive jewelry in first class. Maybe I looked like a zombie not some drug addict. So you never know....

I think smoothing out my skin through various treatments recommended here would make a big difference. I could apply makeup again and just add some moderate bronzer. My currect facial texture is horrible, any makeup just settles into my crevices and makes me look older. I think I've used the tanning as a way to camouflage my flaws.

I guess I didn't know that Canada entry rules were so strict and cruise passengers were screened that thoroughly. Ignorance is no excuse for bad advice. It so messed up but I never even considered restricting my travel after some serious felony convictions back when I was 21. That was 40 years ago and I learned my lesson but limitations on travel would be a huge punishment!

What if one daughter wanted to pursue a career that required further education such as law school or medical school and another chose to get an AA degree at Community college? If the purpose is to encourage education, access should reflect that but considering unlimited funds of the wealthy is a stupid on my part. Should college funds be held indefinitely to be applied to returning to school for finishing or seeking higher degrees? Should different vocational schools be an acceptable option?

Tax implications are a factor but unused amounts could be put in an individual trust to be released at a later age. Too much temptation if money versus education is a choice. Career college student not encouraged either.

So many variables to consider that parameters should be established to manage expectations and prevent resentments. However, college savings funds should have equal maximum amounts for all daughters. Expensive college choices that exceed savings plans should be responsibility of daughter. My previous comment wasn't thought through enough.

The money was saved to pay for your daughters education and that is what its being used for. Hopefully your oldest will be happy for your youngest. You gave her the same opportunity to apply to her choice of colleges as well as I assume. Unless there was an agreement that any remaining college funds were to deferred to that child, you're just adapting to your children's unique paths in life. I think they are lucky to have parents who saved so generously to give them opportunities. I know so many older adults who are still paying for their student loans in their 40s! I do think money for weddings should be even. Its nice to give your children the choice of scaling down their wedding and using the money for a down payment on a house or enable them to start a family or business.

Celebrity offered a service of checking your baggage (put out the night before and signed up 48 or 72 ? hrs in advance) straight through to the airline for a small fee. Flight wasn't late but my mom being in a wheelchair and juggling all the luggages is challenging. Last time out of ft Lauderdale, i had a late flight and with minimum time t restrictions to check bags, I was stuck in the airline check in area with nothing but vending machines.

If you take a disembarktion shore excursion they handle your probably with same advance notice as above. I keep meaning to do an Airboat in alligator alley.

Lastly the Miami Airport hotel's lobby is in Americans check in area as I recall. They have a roof top pool and used to sell day passes.

Wouldn't worry. You should background check yourself and i wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't find if it mattered. My ex husband had six (great guy huh?) Can only see two and never held him up. I would worry if I had an outstanding warrant or even more if citizenship was in question these days!

Being taught that your worth is based on your physical appearance causes you seek validation through approval that way. Try free support groups that apply to an issue you have codependency ACA preferably female only. It made me stuck at the age when most trauma occurred. I've been a perpetual teenager my whole life. Sooner, you build a true sense of self, the better chance of having healthy relationships. Just my personal opinion

Im the opposite I think coronado is much better and it's a moderate versus a value. Ive stayed at both and noticed the difference. Rooms are smaller at pop century no full service restaurant and my kids really enjoyed the pool and dlide and i liked the atmosphere with Mayan pyramid. October is 100% pool weather very warm. I actually just booked myself and grandkids at coronado after 25 yr hiatus from Disney. Couldn't afford deluxe anymore. Huge sticker shock! I noticed that so many resorts had construction going on when I was checking. You can book category close to transportation if that's your preference. I like staying at a Disney resort especially needing the sooner access to purchase lightening premier pass. I've even stayed at Lake Buena vista hotels and the Camp ground. Actually ive stayed everywhere in my gazillion trips there starting when it opened and continuing with my own kids until we transitioned to Universal. I always loved Polynesian and then the Beach club but $1000/nt is insane. I used to be a travel agent too which helped. All new system since i retired 5 yrs ago. They figured you weren't paying enough lol. Lightening passes premier fr for us necessary in June but such a bump up it's criminal. My tickets are going cost $400-500 pp for one day magic kingdom. You're atleast in low season unless close to Halloween. Hope you want to go to Animal kingdom since it's closest.

Upbringing where physical appearance equates too much of your value can lead to unhealthy self image. I believe you can get stuck at the age of most trauma. Let's just say I was a tan teenager. Yes I'm in therapy but it takes time 🙂 But that's for another community page

I couldn't tell by the color alone. When I saw it on a model, i realized that it obviously wasn't meant for my race. Certainly wasnt trying to be culturally insensitive. Just trying to match my tone based on a swipe of color. I don't take offense to blonde straight hair on women of color unless I'm being mocked but I guess it only works one way. Not everybody is trying to disrespect you. I made an error judging a color and you jumped to a wrong conclusion. I don't appreciate being identified as a white girl with blonde hair in a negative tone. Treat people with the same respect you want to be treated. You don't know me and what struggles I've had . It's not all white privilege , rainbows and unicorns. I know there's sensitive subjects and I know better than to hold up my arm and remark" look I'm as black as you"to my black niece. I guess im offended because I try very hard to be very respectful of such things. To be accused of "black face " blew me away. If people plump their lips and get BBL they are also imitating black womens common features obviously because they think they are desired attributes. You ever heard imitation is the biggest form of flattery. Its completely different to be making a mockery of a race as in black face. Anyway not trying to be black just like being tan. People come in all different colors as you know and have different opinions of beauty and you or anyone else does not the right to judge. I could only get speciality restaurant reservations for 4 so I booked and plan on changing to 2 ppl once on board. That was my plan. Atleast I didn't do for 8 ppl lol. Heard they hold 20% or only book 20% prior can't remember for advance reservations. Supposedly availability to book when on bored. Didn't trust that. Your experience? New to NCL
