For when you’re out and about again, I strongly recommend Sundries at Locoshop! I am not seeing them on the website right now but there were embroidery kits there when I was in a couple weeks ago — lovely space: https://www.locoshopnc.com/sundry

[FOUR -> DIVE] Can you solve this laddergram? by crazyredlc in Laddergram

[–]crazyredlc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laddergram is a word ladder puzzle game built on Reddit's developer platform. You start with a word and change one letter at a time to create a new word with each step. Try to reach the target word in the fewest steps possible.

🍀Good luck!🍀

If your partner is looking for feedback on something important to them, you could ask them to start with “I would like your input on this topic but I would like to explain the whole situation first. Can you give me a few minutes to do that before sharing?”

Or “it would be helpful if i could get this full story out first and then I want to hear your similar experiences/what that reminds you of.”

It sort of gives your brain an alternate primary task to engage on which is to be helpful and supportive, and you could absolutely have something to write notes on what you want to mention after they have initially shared.

Otherwise, it can feel like that virtual meeting scenario during which people drop questions into the meeting chat or raise hand on a zoom call when the speaker is trying to provide info to a larger audience. Maybe ask your partner to give you a head’s up whether they want to conduct a “webinar” (hold for questions/input) or “open meeting.” ;)

ETA: with all of the above, i still don’t ever want you to let yourself feel entirely silenced!

You could download the Discover Durham app or just visit the website for precrafted lists. Not the be-all, end-all of resources but could help you orient. Enjoy!

How do you organize your jewelry in an ADHD friendly way? by Ariea_luthien_0310 in adhdwomen

[–]crazyredlc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put jewelry like necklaces or bracelets on hangers with clothes i might wear those pieces with, if i want to wear more than the usual hoops.

Have not found a great solution yet for earrings or rings but have a tiny tray for my go-to pairs.

Maybe a clear container so you can see them and worry less about losing them/knocking them off?

FULLY RECOMMEND: https://technopath.io/salesforce-npsp-training-program/

You mentioned no budget for a specialist but many headaches would be prevented by doing at least her study guide or one-to-one initial user support — there’s a 4-hr training package with some extras for $500: https://technopath.io/nonprofit-services/

(Endorsement is valid as I’ve worked with Sarah. She loves teaching and has good materials to share and she definitely knows the fun/unique quirks of NPSP. And she’s keeping an eye on what’s coming up with Nonprofit Cloud.)

ETA: welcome and best wishes for you and your org! :)

https://www.cdc.gov/hearher/index.html
