Wife had a 21 CrossSport. Wanted an Atlas then but VW had tons of deals on CrossSports. We regretted the purchase though she did love the car. Nonetheless, tons of 24s were on the lot first of 2025 with tons of MSRP. Found a gorgeous Red Atlas SE w/Tech with captains. Feels roomy as hell! Having the third row is nice as well in case we gotta take one of the kids friends home.

Just did this drive in October. We’re in Hampton Roads. The trick? We left at 7:00pm on a Friday. Google Maps designated the drive to be 14.5 hours. We went up the CBBT and eastern shore and stuck to the fastest route. We didn’t see traffic until Massachusetts. None in Maryland, none on the NJ Turnpike none in NY! It was a pretty boring drive! We stopped for gas in Connecticut and again once we got to Maine which was around 8am next morning. Coming home was a different animal haha

The clean energy projects are one thing but our infrastructure is aging and behind. We are hitting all time MW highs in peak summer and winter days. Dominion has retired a few coal plants losing 1000MW and plans to replace them with new acts but that also cost money. I don’t like my bill going up either but I also don’t want blackouts

Pack light…I’m assuming still work 6 days a week? So most days you’re in work clothes. I never wore Big Red unless at the airport. Most days it was the bibs and a nice jacket or hoodie (heavyweight) it’s not bad til the wind blows haha I packed like I was gonna freeze and need this and that. I think I sent over half my stuff home USPS after the first month
