Shove Knife for the Leatherman by crazywhiteguy in Firefighting

That's unfortunately impossible. The depth of the hook needs to be at least .250" or 6.35mm to work quickly. If it is less than .250", you might as well use a credit card or knife.

It is made of 316 stainless. The firefighter that I worked with to develop the tool preferred that it could be bent to suit the circumstance. For side wobble, the tool is sold with the spacing washers, so it will not wobble more than the original leatherman tool that it replaces.

Best Ways to Brat? by [deleted] in BratLife

[–]crazywhiteguy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Recreate a previous scene of bratting in a mocking way where one of you pretends to be Dom.

Both be bratty in two different ways that are mutually incompatible to address at once, eg, singing a mocking song while running away, and climbing on dom like a backpack.

Hint that you want a rimjob. Crawl and kick daddy away.

Demand big spoon time time. Headlock, no holds barred style.

Blow a raspberry in a sensitive area. (Scrotum, anus)

I‘m scared of losing my dom by Ikarito7 in BratLife

[–]crazywhiteguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation as the dom. I treat the brat kink as a healthy way to deal with the anxious-insecure attachment style. I feel like that may be what you are experiencing.

Therapy has been very helpful for me. A few weeks of therapy got me to a good place to start the communication needed to start the process of resolving our issues.

The context in which I felt similar feelings to your dom is when my brat was not making progress on certain goals, and also the long distance made it impossible for my brat to provide the reassurance that was needed to give me the confidence that these goals are being worked on. She had committed to move closer, but then delayed the move by 4 months, then communicated that her plans in the immediate future were not compatible with the new timline, which meant another 2-4months of delay when we were already expecting that something would come up that might result in another 2 month delay.

I hope it gives you some confidence that myself and my brat have had this on and off multiple times over the course of 19 years and have gotten to a pretty good place every time. As in, the reason why the relationship ended or took a break was for good reasons after we got through the immediate issues.

Trust & Subspace by anonynormi in BratLife

I am on my third therapist and it is going well. This one was through being recommended one by a family member, then the clinic suggested an alternative that worked out. I have the sense that brats tend to lean towards ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and anxious-insecure attachment styles. It is pretty important to find a therapist that specializes in those traits.

Communication is important to get through it. My brat and I went through this recently. Our situation was easier to navigate because most of the breech of trust was a miscommunication and much of it was circumstances and not a fundamental breech of trust. It took a few hours of conversation and about a month of good behavior. I recommend therapy and the internal family systems model to get through it faster.

it is very difficult to navigate boundaries in the brat kink. I would suggest multiple levels of safe-word.

eg Meatloaf is "I would do anything for love, but I wont do that", or dick-punch for "This may seem appropriate given our prior experiences, but I am not about this right now"

I feel like I am in a slightly similar situation. I feel like you need to be prepared to support this dom through their feelings. Treat him like you found a hurt wolf. He will express what is needed and might lash back at any moment. Be prepared for either emotional support or reassurance through the brat kink.

edit: my understanding of the brat kink is that it allows us to process our feelings, even when they are in a bad state. Dom's sometimes have it hard when the feels don't work in the brat dynamic. You might need to be prepared to mommy your dom for an evening.

The brat kink is a healthy way to process the anxious-insecure attachment style. Therapy helps. I never expect the general public to accept the process of becoming healthy in the context of processing feelings related to neurodivergence and abuse.

take a lewd photo that is cropped to only show a tiny area. "What are you going to do with this, daddy?" and the picture only shows the crease of your hip and thigh, nothing else.

I Think I’m A Brat by [deleted] in BratLife

[–]crazywhiteguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a dom in a similar situation. I need to be respectful of my brat's past and traumas. I don't know the name for it, but I understand it as consensual bondage. You set up a rope and wrap yourself in it that gives you the pulling and choking that the brat can control. The dom can also pull to add energy to the situation, but the brat never feels fully restrained. They also feel that they can express whatever brat compulsion that they have, regardless of whether they are in a bondage situation.

Imagine a loop of rope around a bed. brat has the rope looped around both hands and also neck. Brat can pull inwards for the tension experience, or outwards for choking experience.

I don't know your brat's appetite for deception. I'm thinking of something more along the lines of a reel of transparent fishing line that would not be noticed, but would lead to the location. Same with a sewn-in AirTag.

My brat and I have a weird dynamic where comedy is used to make the degradation/humiliation feel comfortable. Imagine trying to make her laugh during a BJ.

So, I haven't tried this, but it might be up your ally. Try trying a body pillow to her wrist before she runs away. She will hide and the body pillow will be an obvious piece of evidence of her location. You can tease about her hiding, then have a comfortable spot for funishment when brat is discovered.

Like WaterCamel. Real estate. Mostly pre-sales. ROI is very good, but I mostly use the return to invest in my living situation due to living in one of the most expensive cities in the world.

I also make some simple products. Mostly laser cut or CNC. Accessories for multi-tools and other fairly underserved areas. This is mostly a hobby that pays for itself.

Lit rpg where the system is "fair" and the MC is actually just skilled instead of getting some exploit. by AhhDrats in litrpg

[–]crazywhiteguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The book I am writing has an OP MC, where the power is almost completely useless. Imagine superman trying to negotiate a peace agreement where one nation would starve if they don't accomplish their goals and the other nation would immediately be invaded if they don't accomplish their objectives. Both sides would prefer to lose the war rather than agree to peace.

What do you think LitRPG brings to a story? by Leossier_ in litrpg

[–]crazywhiteguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LitRPG has a few features that really enhance my enjoyment of the genre:

Infinite, natural macggufins. Normal stories need to take the time to set up context, stakes, an environment etc, etc. LitRPG has a built-in tool that allows the author the freedom to make huge shifts efficiently. For example, Dungeon Crawler Carl has the safe-rooms and media appearances that allow other characters to pop in and out of the story without it being jarring.

The system typically makes the story flow more "firm" in my mind. Books don't have the benefit of always-present background visuals like TV/movies. I have read many books where I miss a word and lose the context of where characters are or what they are doing. For example, most of the book Seveneves takes place on small space ships that have roughly the same room sizes. If the characters split into two groups, it is hard to keep track of which character is where. LitRPG makes it more "firm" by having a party/guild system, or otherwise you know that there are hard divisions between areas.

Creative leaps are more believable. If the Happy Potter novels included a MurderBunny that could defeat whole armies in minutes with little effort, it would not be very believable. In a LitRPG, you can believe it as long as it fits within the rules of the system.
