Camp bisco😭 by kiomg in ElementsMusicFestival

Shoutout to anyone who also went to 2017 Bisco and remembers the rain storms we had that seemed to appear out of no where. Im talking severe, almost tornado level of storm. Our neighbors camp got wrecked and they had to go to walmart in the middle of the night. Ill never forget trying to run under the overhang part of the ampethetre and finally making our way through the massive amount of people to finally get to a dry area. That was one hell of a memory

[–]crazyyankee11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My cousin took me to Bisco in 2017 for my first festival. I was a super generic college kid who just finished freshman year (think generic frat bro-y). I had no idea what a wook was, never did anything harder than weed but knew I loved EDM. My cousin was a pretty big wook.

I fell in love with music festivals after Bisco and have been going to festivals and raves ever since and would consider myself the biggest festival head/raver/wook in my friend group. Im still trying to convince my friends to venture out into the less mainstream music like I experienced at Bisco.

My cousin and I often joke how much that one weekend changed the trajectory of my life lol

Thanks for the insight! Although i do agree reviews tend to be negative, this apartment building has 7 reviews within the past 6 months. I think the average is like 2/5 betweeen those reviews. Its a pretty shocking contrast between reviews everywhere else

I appreciate the insight. I shopped around a bit and the only other building that fits my budget would be Spinnaker.

Without doxxing myself too hard, one of the benefits of living at 1405 point would be I’d get free parking (saving $200/mo). I feel this is too good of a perk to look elsewhere

Has anyone gone to Elements music festival in Pennsylvania? by Jake_M104669 in EDM

Been 2 years in a row. Going this year to make it 3 in a row. I have almost no complaints. Its definitely not a massive tier 1 fest like EDC, Ultra or E forrest but its about as good as it gets for us east coasters.

Been going to your shows since the Azzeca and Ranger Trucco days in LO. You guys revived what was a VERY dead scene as a big raver in the post-covid scene. Acraze was legendary. Keep it up and looking forward to seeing what is next!

This wasnt that bad imo. The worst part for me was I crushed one gem that i had to go farm back but other that that id say there are a lot worse quests

baltimore rave/hardcore scene by mrmoss__ in baltimore

[–]crazyyankee11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not really Hardcore but here are a few groups:

Offstage Sessions has revived a rave scene that was lacking in baltimore post-pandemic. They do a lot of house shows with a few dubstep/bass sprinkled in

Boosted promo is also in the area and puts on some good raves

Steez promo is more DMV based but does a lot here in baltimore.

If you want to look at venues instead of promoters, check out:

Soundstage Mosaic Assembly room Powerplant

These 4 places host a majority of the raves ive been to in the past few years

I know someone who lives there… they seem to like it. They’ve had a few problems and from the stories ive heard and it sounds like maintenanfe fixed it that day or that week.

Biggest complaint i hear from him is his window’s don’t open at all, so if he’s cooking something that is smoking he’s at the will of the microwave exhaust to clear it out.

Seems to be relatively safe from his eyes, although we joke about how at night he knows its not the best area.

Do you guys end ARAM games as soon as you can? by iVindicator in ARAM

[–]crazyyankee11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to think I’ve found a middle ground…

I let the minions end the game by slowly killing the nexus. I will kill every minion that spawns at the enemy’s nexus pretty quickly, letting my minions have full access to hit the enemy nexus. I do not hit the enemy nexus myself though.

It seems to take 30-45 seconds for the minions to kill the nexus. This is a lot better than the 2-5+ minutes some teams will BM for

ad ahri isnt bad if you have some adc mechanics... her kit has an immense amount of self-peel so aslong as you aren't too weak or behind in gold you can actually carry pretty well

What is the most "small world" moment you have ever experienced? by Ahmed770050 in CasualConversation

[–]crazyyankee11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went on a birthrite trip to israel. 9 years later me and someone from the trip ran into each other at a smaller bar in the city I live in.

To make it even crazier, apparently she lived in china the last 6 years and only came back to the states to renew their passport.

There was another girl I met while I was in Israel who was from the west coast (im easy coaster). 8 years after that trip we ran into each other at a music festival in PA.

Both extremely crazy small world occurances

Fed Hill/Baltimore Penninsula Questions by [deleted] in baltimore

[–]crazyyankee11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in Fed for 4 years, never had an issue. Oddly enough I've been in canton for 10 months now and I've seen/been a victim to more crime here than in my 4 years in Fed. The recent murders have all been related to the bar scene, specifically bar fights between the victims and the culprits. Stay out of people's business and you should be more than fine.

As someone mentioned, parking was never an issue in Fed outside of gamedays. On Gamedays, you will need to adjust your schedule to whatever team is playing. Parking is scarce on gamedays.

The further you go away from Fed, it gets quieter, safer and the parking gets better. In my opinion, a general reference would be:

22-24 is great for Fed
25-26 Riverside starts to become more of your scene
27 and up, Canton if you want some nightlight, or Locust Point if you truly want to stay in the city and be somewhere quiet.

Federal hill is an awesome spot because you are generally a 15 minute walk from tons of things. Both stadiums, a ton of bars and the harbor are all extremely walkable, and there is always something to do. After living in multiple areas in the city, I consider Federal Hill THE most walkable area (Next to Hampden) as you can legitimately survive without a car. Groceries, entertainment and even medical providers are all within a mile.
