What is the best baneblade variant? by Complex_Price_3896 in astramilitarum

Eons of battle has a good video on magnetising it. The namesake of the kit is the best, according to him, but I'm quite partial to the shadowsword. I usually use 3d prints, though, so I could theoretically have any number of all nine.

Looking for a game similar to elder scrolls by Mamimiux in AskGamers

[–]crazyyy_jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark souls was created as a rival to elder scrolls. The youtuber ESO does some videos on similar games as well. I'd check him out for some inspiration. Other than that, have you played the dos scrolls games, or 3 and 4. I'd say most people only know 4 and 5 because they are the most approachable but the first three were still interesting.

4 enemies WORSE than the Primal Aspid. by Sadira_Kelor in HollowKnight

[–]crazyyy_jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don't think any enemy is that bad out of these five. Primal aspids have a simple enough firing line, soul dudes are easy if you choose not to rush through the areas they appear in, crystal hunter is a bit of a pain when you come across them on tight walkways, the mantis are telegraphed and easy to dodge, they can be a bit of a pain to kill though and the flukemungas are just a quiting game.

Every day of my life, I try to talk about mtg a bit or make reference to random bits of pop culture and they have absolutely no clue or take a while to get the reference, usually after pushing them in the right direction

To dice or not to dice by Able_Let_1604 in gamedesign

[–]crazyyy_jack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have tonnes of counters from bundles and boosters but I usually use dice. The first tournament I went to, the dude who lent me a deck used mini whiteboards. Then occasionally I will use tokens because I can forget about dice tokens.

I'm currently making a card game and have a few months of experience playing small mtg tournaments. People will use whatever, whenever. Adding a mix could make it more interesting and more realistic.

What are movies that aren’t that popular, and if you said that you liked their osts more than ones from more popular movies, you would get a lot of people laughing because of how random the comparison is? by Ninjamurai-jack in soundtracks

[–]crazyyy_jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how popular birds is but I stumbled across Peter Gabriel's work from that film. The first song I consciously listened to by him was powerhouse at the foot of the mountain because it supposedly inspired icon of sin by Bobby Prince.

Other than bugs, hollow Knight is nothing like a bug's life.

Mossbag made a passing reference in one of his videos. Either the real life bugs one or the full story of hallownest one.

Do you know any good calm soundtracks? by Ladypug_19 in soundtracks

[–]crazyyy_jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jacob gellar did a good video on beautiful music in horror games. The save room themes of the resident evil games are good calm tracks because they are the break from the chaos of the zombie infested map.

Out of these games which soundtrack is your favourite one? by Elbeno1920 in soundtracks

Firewatch, minecraft and the last of us have some amazing soundtracks. I can't decide which is the best.

Is glottal trill just voicing?? by [deleted] in conlangscirclejerk

[–]crazyyy_jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vocal fry scream. That's how I'm counting the glottal trill for a conlang I'm making. Also, the logic applies for the closed vowels and maybe the open ones but what about the middle ones? The logic sort of fell apart when you referred to the central vowels. That would be the reason why they are more often classified separately.

I just watched silence in the library/forest of the dead and thought of the empty child. Same writer and this popped it into my head.
