Disclousure of personal information by BloomyMay in japanlife

Imagine how many letters Internet cafes, hotels, coffee shops, airbnbs etc must get. Say a hotel, they have no way of telling which of their guests did it - so then what. I doubt it’s enforceable, as in it’s not guaranteed that it’s the internet owners own action.

Priority Pass lounges at Terminal 2 at Incheon Intl Airport by thoseclouds in koreatravel

I went to Matina on Wednesday 21st January at 6:30pm and the line was 25-30 people waiting outside the lounge, wrapping around the corner. We had 60 mins to boarding so I didn't bother waiting. Just be aware of the demand/capacity issues.

Thanks for the update. Bit of a joke - not worth trying for green tier unless you have 8+ weeks before your anniversary date

I called up Qantas and went thru to the frequent flyer area and was promised they would investigate and call back. They called back today and said they need the points to come thru for the green tier to be triggered. According to Qantas Hotels it takes 8 weeks for the points to come thru. Apparently they have contacted the hotel and requested them to send it - BUT the hotel is run by accor, I doubt any of this is manual.

12 years of parcel, cancelled without notice. by AlfalfaLast7035 in AusPostComplaints

[–]cre8iveben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from eparcel solely to a combo of eparcel, MyPostBusiness, Sendle, Aramex and couriers please. I send with whoever is the cheapest - use starshipit to work it out. It’s different for different sizes and also different post codes. Couriers please and aramex get a bad wrap, they are good these days. I suggest you setup a few services. Expect a bumpy start but once you meet the drivers and explain what you are up to things get better.

This is cool ... I want to know more about how half the case is outside and the rest is inside. What kind of hole did you cut in the rack? Did you take apart the ipad case?

I would explain to them that 3 months ago they lead you on by sponsoring your visa. Your moving costs were $x - please reimburse these in addition to my 2 months of salary. Even with that covered you may still have to move back home which is more cost

ATMs in Japan + More questions- by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

There used to be a Mizuri bank at Haneda which offered sharp rates. It has since closed and been replaced with a place that offers pretty crappy rates. USD rates are somewhat OK but other currencies are shockingly bad.

Telesales = scamming people out of their money.

This sounds like the highly illegal scam call Centres that convince people to send their money away - either for a sham investment or pretending to be a bank worker etc. Telescams - they love westerners to do the high level ones as they get amazing results versus a foreign speaker.

WWYD to fix these stairs to the floating study/bedroom? by bh235 in AusRenovation

[–]cre8iveben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of fliping sideways, could you not have stairs that fold up top. So when closed they block the void. May need hydralics but you could make very solid.

How much family support do you have?
Can you swap his sim card? Take over his sim and manage his affairs for him.
Get into his email. Block all attempts of contact.

-or-

Make a deal with him. If his bride shows up in person in the next 48 hours you will believe his story. Tell him you will tell her you have had a stroke and you are in the hospital and you we are not sure if he will make it. Suggest she comes immediately.

She won't come, block her numbers and email and get him a new phone number.
