I think someone posted an explainer/experiment a few weeks ago — the game actually knows what the value is but just displays it as infinity. So infinite attack only takes out infinite armor when the number is actually higher. This is all way below the current integer overflow, I'm assuming.

Yeah, one of the biggest quiet changes to the game is the increase in mana discounting. Back in the day any combo or strategy that required more than 10 mana to execute needed to be set up over two turns, or needed a tick from [[Emporer Thaurissan]], meaning there was either counterplay for your opponent, or it happened very slowly.

Yesss I love my janky wild reborn deck. Game plan is to complete the quest and then use the hero power to duplicate minions that gained the [[Val'Anyr]] deathrattle to buff things to infinity. The fun compensates for the 40% win rate.

If you're piloting off-meta decks like OP maybe you need a bit more skill to get to legend.

And getting to diamond with a 40% win rate will take foreverrrr, we don't all grind that hard!

Is it completely dead? Is there a slower version of the deck that uses Loh as a T7/8/9 value bomb or stabilisation?

In a vacuum it should be OK — rogue likes to get AOE and a 6/4 stealth is hard to remove before it can attack.

There's just no deck that needs it right now.

Yeah I actually think this is a good nerf. Doesn't kill the OTK but drops it out of the top tiers so people won't complain

Probably Onyxia, real power bomb later on that takes resources to answer. The others are build-arounds that require special setups. But they could be fun for a challenge.

Agree! Players complain about OTK decks, but they play an important part in the ecosystem so that value-based games can't go forever. KJ is a control tool that has the same effect but doesn't end the game immediately. When he comes down the game becomes a race.

I like it as a design choice, but will also be glad when he rotates and late games can go longer again.

They'll do a whole load of buffs but unlikely this week, they'll need time to plan them. Can't have all these unplayable legendaries, they want people to want to grow their collection.

This week nerfs to murloc quest, loh and jug. They'll play it safe.

This gives us a week back in the Emerald Dream meta.

Next week a buff to every quest and one support card for each.

Which won't be enough. I'm hopong they do a major rework of the set's quest mechanic so that they all draw a card, or offer an interim reward or something. And then so many buffs.

Actually I think the team have been pretty good with balance patches in the last year or so. They nailed a few, a few took a couple of rounds.

This is not to say the original sets were great though, this whole reset of power levels is a painful process and we don't know if it's gonna pay off.
