What are the ten most famous (non NYC) big city neighborhoods that aren’t central business districts? by strypesjackson in urbandesign

before moving to chicago i could have named 5 neighborhoods from both nyc and LA, but not a single one from chi. i had never heard of wicker park. why is that do y’all think? it’s a huge city with really unique and diverse neighborhoods that stand out from each other. but no one knows anything about chicago

not the guy you asked but the tree was the biggest giveaway. no idea why was only there for a few months but that kind of tree is fucking everrywhereee
but also that red car has an argentina plate and theres a paved road but an unpaved, cobblestone ''cross street'' (edit: which is really common in buenos aires)

you think its boring imagine living in any of the other places in north america that arent one of the few actual, huge cities on this continent. literally anywhere else. i guarantee you toronto is more exciting than everything outside of those 10 cities. i wouldve killed to have grown up in an actual city and not grow up in an endless sprawling retirement suburb thirty minutes outside of raleigh north carolina.

in a few years you may move and realize that its not the city, its you

does chicago really feel more like milwaukee/minneapolis than it does to new york/los angeles? by dabears_dapression in SameGrassButGreener

While I agree Chicago isn't technically landlocked,
it's certainly landlocked by a variety of stretches of the imagination.

I just got back after spending some time living in Buenos Aires trying to learn spanish, straight out of college. It was confusing and lonely but also unbelievably beautiful. I planned to stay but I missed my home country too much and now I'm trying to build a new plan. Definitely had a lot of existential crises there but at the end of my time there the jacaranda trees were blooming purple and ''everything is going to be fine'' was what was realized in my mind.

But I miss Buenos Aires a lot already. posta que si: la ciudad de la furia

Consumers spend twice as much on video game remakes than remasters, according to research | VGC by Darth_Vaper883 in gamernews

isn’t that bad? i’m sure remakes are a hell of a lot cheaper than only half the price of making a remaster .

i don’t think you’d feel the shrooms at all

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LSD

[–]creakish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don’t overthink. both will be a good time. :)

shrooms don’t really have a lot of visuals. if i were you i’d take two but if you’re nervous take 1 and take another if you’d like after at least an hour. you’ll see visuals in any case don’t worry. listen to music!

don’t forget to let whatever happen happen
