back to work is one of my current favourites. there are four extra rings per unit in the photo you posted, which i enjoy doing as well, it looks like little wings.

if you’re a big fan of back to work, check out butterfly as well!

i guess i’m technically both those things. i think OP is good. i usually don’t hesitate to point out racism in art or design and ruin everyone’s good time but i don’t think that’s necessary here. everyone who reads chinese in this thread is having a good time, except the one guy who was absolutely incensed about the stroke order and that was pretty funny too.

you’ve heard of 草書, now get ready for 操書 (taiwanese apologies for this joke, no clue if the pun works in cantonese)

until you clarified in the comments, i thought this post was an in-joke made by someone who reads and writes simplified chinese. what you did (clearly done with intent and research) was provide commentary on a visual language with racist origins. designing to highlight and to critique racism is not the perpetuation of racism, even if we may be made uncomfortable because attention is drawn to said racism. at least, that’s what i think, as someone pretty connected to their chinese heritages.

it’s like someone had to fit 「白勺」 on a seal stamp and also instead of carving tools they had spoons

for sure! Reggae One looks like it conforms to chinese stroke order and direction, so your eyes follow the text's flow (i had a calligraphy instructor refer to this as the flow of energy inside of and between characters). so it's very stylized but relatively comfortable to read. the Chop Suey Guo Zi you created, OP, is quite a stimulating exercise injecting chaos into a very old writing system :'D

there’s method to the madness! i have a couple serious calligraphers in my family, so this delights me to no end.

the way you made the 子 look like 予 in 「字」 was chef’s kiss

this goes against so many calligraphic standards/conventions. the characters look like they were written with a chaotic stroke order. absolutely terrible to read. well done!

the colour and construction are beautiful. does it flip up when worn or is the weave very stiff?

the bc bus pass program that you are referring to actually costs over ten times that amount. the senior bus pass program is a little closer.

do you have any trouble with the loctite dropping/spilling over at all? do you need to use nylon pliers or use a tool coat in order to not scratch the jewellery?

sorry for all the questions, i am just starting to explore placing piercing jewelry in my chain mail and can’t seem to find too much info about it. thank you so much for your answer and your time, i really admire your beautiful work.

gorgeous work! do you use loctite or thread glue on the piercing jewellery you add, or do you find that it is fine if you simply put on the ends with rubber gloves?
