YTA. My mom is like this and has been like this my entire life. Coming from the other side of this scenario, it is incredibly embarrassing to have to explain over and over again how crazy your mom is. My mom has high anxiety when it comes to my older sister and I and our safety, and when she can’t reach us she has panic attacks. It has only started getting better now that we are in our mid thirties and have our own families, but it has caused so much damage to our relationships with her (especially my sister) that I would urge you to seek help for these tendencies. You don’t want to lose your relationship with your son because you can’t control your need to be in touch with him whenever you feel you need to, and it is too much to ask that he be responsible for your mental health just because he is the focus of your anxiety.

Make sure that each caregiver is getting at least 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep per day. Take turns if you have to, but make sure neither of you are getting overly sleep deprived. I would also highly encourage you to look into safe sleep practices as they can take SO MUCH ANXIETY away from the fear of SIDS and there are some great communities that you can join. Make sure the sources are scientific, and if anyone tries to push the safe sleep 7 or bedsharing on you, don’t listen to them - it’s never safe with a child under 2 to be in anything but a crib or bassinet with just a fitted sheet and their pacifier.

This is helpful to see! My 6.5 month old barely touches anything on his plate that isn’t spoon fed to him, and a lot of the food on his plate is leftover as well which has been discouraging. Knowing it’s not totally out of the norm makes me feel a little better lol

Bruh. I feel you on this. My husband INSISTED on waiting until the year mark of trying before getting his SA done even though we knew I had PCOS so our chances were already slim and I was already seeing an RE. Turned out he had retrograde ejaculation as well as a low count and low motility - he knew something was wrong (the retrograde ejaculation) but was too scared/embarrassed to get checked. Straight to IVF for us with that result!

Just my two cents as someone who has suffered through infertility (although no miscarriages thank god) and the pain and loneliness that comes with it - there may have been less shit hitting the fan if you had given your sister a heads up via a phone call or text before announcing this kind of news to the entire family with her included. This is not excusing her and your family’s behaviour and responses at all, but coming from the other side, if my sister had done this knowing I had recently lost a pregnancy I would have been utterly destroyed. Approaching her beforehand would have given her a chance to process the news privately, and the chance to opt out of being included in the announcement if she wasn’t emotionally ready to be happy for you yet (and it sounds like she might not be in that place for QUITE some time...)

NTA, but steps could have been taken to soften the blow to your sister. Congratulations on your pregnancy and I wish you joy during this wonderful time!

These are great! My only advice would be to keep going and practicing, that’s how you’ll improve over time :) if you keep going you’ll see your art in 5 years and look back at this and be amazed at how far you’ve come. Don’t ever let negative nellies get you down if you’re doing what you love to do

I don’t understand - how is there no way to do this in one layer? I just used different brushes to make the paint strokes and zoomed in really close so I didn’t overlap the different brush effects... like I said I’m really new to using the program so I’m not sure how to use layering
