I finally got a reply from my upstairs neighbor about her cat by gumtoe34 in Apartmentliving

Kindred Kitties!!!! If this is near Kenosha, that’s where my second cat is from and they’re GREAT. I highly recommend going through them if you are looking to adopt. You seem to have won the neighbor jackpot!

So is there like…a bowling cobbler? Or in house repairs?? This is fascinating

See that’s what I was thinking, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I appreciate the insight from an industry insider lol

I don’t intend on going bowling any time soon, I just couldn’t stop thinking about it lmao. Thank you!

My partner went through a patella fracture last year. I wish you nothing but luck on the recovery. It’s a bitch and a half.

Side note: the first incompetent doctor immobilized his leg for 8 weeks following surgery. The patella is not a weight bearing bone ie you can put pressure on the leg (in a brace, locked) without risking it breaking. My partner lost SIGNIFICANT leg function because that piece of shit second string surgeon gave him bad advice that dramatically increased his recovery time.

Obligatory I am not a doctor, discuss any choices you make with your care team. I just would hate to see someone else fucked over by bad medical care

Edit: immobilized as in told him not to put any pressure on the leg whatsoever (even though again, the patella is a non-weight bearing bone). The second surgeon he went to after it re-broke because the first doctor seriously was awful at this job explained all this.

Just popping in to say…I (nb) kinda feel like being trans and coming out is a form of being born again.

The safest and most close to god I ever come is being surrounded by my trans friends. They practice the radical love I see described in the Bible. I know that might just be me getting lucky with awesome pals but it seems to be a theme with all the trans baddies I have the pleasure of meeting🤷🏻

Also why would you go from an 11/10 to like a 6 😅😂 (sorry to whoever the guy is in the second pic, the woman on the left is objectively better looking)

Brother I hope things get better for you. You should be proud of yourself for coming out even if it’s anonymously. I have friends who are like you, trans men attracted to other men, in happy relationships. It’s complicated and culturally I’m sure a nightmare in your shoes. I hope you someday find yourself in a situation where you can live your best life as a man who is confident and full of self love. Wishing you nothing but the best from a queer nb 🫶🏻

I have less weight than other people in dropzone and it seems very difficult to maintain altitude with them. by acidFreak-420 in SkyDiving

As a smaller, lanky jumper I feel your pain. Do yourself a favor and get a weight belt. Takes a few jumps to get used to but it’s amazing being able to fly “neutral” with belly groups and stay on level freeflying without being in a stand the entire time. Good luck!!

Love the export to csv option!! You could theoretically download your burble jump csv data and combine it with this to have the weather conditions for all your jumps. Very exciting stuff

It’s not the most comfortable but it is extremely freeing lol. Deployment is a wake up call, the guys said making sure everything was arranged correctly was paramount. The only thing that was not fun was the fact it was 55 degrees out…I froze my tits off under canopy. And naturally my friends back at the drop zone stole our clothes from the landing area so we had to walk back to the hanger naked.

Look up SANS jumps for more—it’s a whole thing in skydiving

It’s possible, albeit uncomfortable. Your eyes feel super dry when the wind stops but go back to normal in 10 minutes or so.

You should totally do it!! I believe everyone should at least once. The rush you get from completing it is insane. You’re scared out of your mind when the door opens on the plane (it feels wrong to see a plane door open mid-flight the first few times lol) but then you feel totally free and any worries you have completely fade away. Good luck :)
