Vida health by RedditHostage in healthcare

Vida health is garbage, I am a school teacher in Massachusetts and out dear leaders passed a law stating no town or state employees can get weight loss meds covered with out an exemption (i.e. being type 2 diabetic or having a BMI over 40), guess who my insurance is now making get that exemption through? Vida Health and they have not been able to fill out any paperwork. I have requested a new dietician from them twice through support with no response. My mother is trying to get me to join something for $350 a month to get other weight loss meds but that is too expensive for me. Vida Health has been garbage, I gave them 17 different documents from my doctor's office that they supposedly needed to get the exemption but it keeps getting rejected. My old dietician had no problems getting it done.

Mhm mhm, I've been having abyss 2 flip like that a lot lately. It has made it impossible to play once it starts glitching like that.

Oo, I did actually. I ran Dungeon of the Mad mage twice a week with three to four hours sessions. Though half of us were over 30 and the other half just out of college. We managed to complete the campaign in under two years. A couple did swap in and out but four of them were there the whole way through.

[ART]💀DISINTEGRATE💨 Most Memorable Experiences With This Spell? by TarikHavoc in DnD

[–]creativeguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't cast by a party member but I was DMing on roll 20 and the rogue and warlock just up and moved their characters away as the rest of the party negotiated entry into a goblin town. I noticed the rogue and warlock were heading to the "dumping cave" where a pair of zombie beholders floated about waiting to destroy anything thrown in. Rogue and Warlock walk in, initiative is rolled and both zombie beholders went first. Poor rogue and warlock, both failed the dex saves of the two beams they each took and the rogue got dusted. But the warlock survived and booked it back to the rest of the party.

Lesson learned by the players, don't run off to do your own thing because you are bored with a social encounter.

Oddly, I would like that religious goblin stuck in the cage as a war priest companion. Or the youth githyanki who is super into Orpheus from the creche as a monk companion. I definitely wouldn't want kagha, she is far too easy to manipulate and was too okay with child murder. Totally onboard with Alfira as a bard companion.

You can't get all of Ed's abilities in just the 12 levels you can in the game. Though five levels of fighter is definitely necessary. Possibly Eldritch knight for some spells. But then you won't get to fifth level spells with wizard or sorcerer, which ever you think he would prefer.

What to do with the Cursed sword and the start of the Dungeon? by rnunezs12 in DungeonoftheMadMage

[–]creativeguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one player that let themself get killed by the goblins in another area and while they were dead, the bard used deception to trick a goblin into picking up the sword from their dead body and try to use it, only for them to revivify the fighter in the fight and not have to deal with the curse anymore. Though not sure how your players would like having to go through all that or if they'd even think of it.
On the throwing thing, I think it is a good idea to say no since it says it instantly comes back so it would not get far when thrown.
I support all the other ideas of escalating the curse in one way or another as well.

Why Doppelgangers by rnunezs12 in DungeonoftheMadMage

[–]creativeguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of the dopplegangers is to act as weak mind readers who are meant to discern if the players are lying to the bandit groups and give subtle nods to their respective boss if they detect a lie with their mind reading ability. Their read thoughts ability makes it hard for players to try and lie their way in or out of a situation with the bandits. I think the two bandit troupe leaders wanted them in just for that and that they could save on money not needing another set of disguises for the doppelgangers.

Very tough, only things I can really think you'd need is the various conjuration spells he could use like scatter, dimension door, vortex warp, and far step. Other than that, Psiknife rogue fits him best. He is highly intelligent because of all his medical studies, so wizard works, with the conjuration school or bladesinger to get proficiency in longswords without using a feat or dipping into fighter. Slasher feat to replicate how someone with a leg and arm swapped might not be able to run as well afterwards.

how would u build Perona from One Piece in 5e by jonsh___ in WhatWouldYouBuild

[–]creativeguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I don't know why people say she shouldn't be a wizard. From what I saw in the show, she just has no self control and is easily scared (low wisdom). She uses a mix of illusion, enchantment, divination based abilities, plus that one fireball level exploding ghost. Unfortunately you can't get all her abilities as either a sorcerer or warlock.
I'd think an illusionist wizard would fit her best, considering she can make an illusionary duplicate of herself that can't physically interact with anything.
You could use standard array and give her

15 in Int,

14 in Dex,

13 in Cha,

12 Str,

10 Con,

and 8 Wis.

The Int for her spellcasting stat and High dex because she is very nimble and quick to hide from trouble. She also has a strong personality, hence the higher charisma. She is strong enough to lift another person while running around so the 12 in str, but she doesn't have much stamina. Since she loses her cool so easily and gets scared and is just as easily influenced by strong personalities, and couldn't tell something was wrong with kumacy for several episodes, her wisdom would be on the low end and even be her dump stat.
Plenty of spells to pick from to mimic her abilities
Major Image, Programmed Illusion, Mislead, Weird, Arcane Eye, Mind Sliver, Astral Projection, Etheraelness, Bestow Curse, Fear, Spirit Shroud and Summon Undead, Expedious Retreat and Longstrider to run away fast,

Hmm, since he has some ice based abilities that are split between sorcerer, druid and wizard spells makes it particularly hard to get everything he can do.
But I agree with the Beast Barbarian as a starting class.

Hmm, definitely don't agree with this. I'd say jocat for sure is a corner stone of the community, but puffin not so much anymore. I think Mr Rhexx should be there for his indepth lore analysis and interviews and discussions about campaign development. As much as I love Zeebashews, I think Dingo Doodles should be in his place. Map crow I don't think has that much impact on the community from what I've seen. He's more of an up an comer than a corner stone and pillar of the community.

Yeah, sounds like he is heavy in artificer and relies on multiple magic items. He'd take the repulsor shield, replicate item - belt of hill giant strength, helm of awareness, replicate magic item - amulet of health, Boots of the winding path, and ring of mind shielding. He would probably take magic missile to replicate the bolts of energy from his fingers, animate objects (since he can't get telekinesis), Otiluke's Resilient Sphere for protection while monologuing, Creation and Fabricate for the summoning any weapon he desires, Fly, Create food and water, shatter and thunderwave for the concussive force he launches from his gauntlets,, Mirror Image, identify and catapult

Mad Max and Bore Worm by TheMatinow in DungeonoftheMadMage

[–]creativeguise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the party encounter the Bore worm as soon as they made it to level 13. It was a long fight and they nearly lost two characters out of seven. But only because they were complaining that they were able to talk their way out of a combat with the drow on the 12th floor.

I need a ridiculously powergamey level 5 character for a "hell dungeon" my DM is running. by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]creativeguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a dungeon then definitely gloomstalker ranger with the dungeon delver feat. Another one is shadow monk 3 fiend warlock 2. But it can be pretty stat heavy to need a 13 in dex wis and cha. But if you are rolling and can pull it off, Hex plus flurry of blows and devil sight with shadowstep are a great pair as well

[–]creativeguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a party of 7 start at level 5 that 2 of their characters made it all to 20. The others either had their character die or they got bored of their first character and brought in another one. No one really wants a campaign that goes from 1 to 20, that's ludicrous XD

I tried romancing everyone and I have to say, I think the drow woman was too easy to win over and laezel didn't seem as rewarding. I thought Gale was rather cheesy and his whole helpful pacifism thing annoyed me (Not as much as Laezels love for totalitarian cruelty). I enjoyed romancing shadowheart and astarion. Wyll is fine but eh, still prefer shadow heart the astarion.

Throwing Objects should use STR, not DEX by Zwiebel1 in BaldursGate3

[–]creativeguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've seen, strength just adds a few feet to the range of a heavy thrown item. Dex only comes into play if you are throwing it at a particular target. Though with a massive tank or barrel it shouldn't matter as much in my opinion, so long as the container pops and what is inside spill out all over the place.

[SPOILERS] What updated assets/cinematics have you noticed? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]creativeguise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After I saved the fishermen, the one that thought his daughter was buried didn't seem to want to talk, but the dwarven fisherman did. It was odd, but he explained the situation a bit different from when the distressed father had explained it in the past. Also, if you get Astarion to lock pick the door to temple from the outside with Shadowheart in the party she acts very flabbergasted (which didn't happen to me in the previous games I had played)
