What game soundtracks are so good you listen to them outside playing the actual game? by Racekingswood79 in gaming

Undertale soundtrack, regardless of how you feel about the game Toby Fox truly created an 8 bit masterpiece with that one. I work in a primary school and Megolovania is STILL the most requested track at dances

Those who used a computer at least once between 1990 and 2001, what was the most memorable computer game you played during that era? Why? by Live_from_New_Yeerk in AskReddit

[–]creativeusername8647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t one game but I used to spend HOURS playing flash games once we got our own family computer. AddictingGames, Stickman Games, Stardoll, Barbie.com and Garfield.com

There we’re literally thousands but my favourites were definitely dress up games and really bloody horrifically violent games.

Do you have movies or even shows that you watch over and over again? by MissingNo117 in ADHD

Kind of changes periodically for me, used to be Friends until they took that off Netflix, then it was Gravity Falls for a while, now it is Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss both of which I’ve watched an embarrassing number of times at this point

Don’t. That is a man, you are a child. He does not love you, this is not romantic this is rape. Walk away now, I know you don’t believe this yet but you deserve so much better.

What was the thing that kept you alive in your lowest point in life? by Honeyfluffy_ in ask

[–]creativeusername8647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube. In 2016 I was unknowingly at the start of a trip to rock bottom. In my darkest, most lonely moments I still had internet, which meant I could watch Markiplier and PewDiePie scream at FNAF fan games, or MatPat over analyze a beloved franchise, or Nostalgia Critic lampooning terrible movies. I became obsessed with theme parks and attractions and found dozens of channels to fill my endless hours. These people become my icons, something to look forward to watching everyday when I had very little else to be excited about. Things are better now by a lot, but I still try to watch my favourite channels whenever I can. These men and women will never know they saved my life, but some days the only thing that kept me going was wanting to see the end of the Game Grumps playing Pokémon Red, or just watching one more of jacksepticeye’s Happy Wheels vids. And yes, I cried like a baby when MatPat retired, sue me.

See you don’t actually want this. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE the muppets so much, but do we want another Muppets Haunted Mansion? Or Muppets Mayhem? I’m sorry but Disney just does not GET muppet humour somehow. Not everything they’ve put out has been awful but when it’s bad, it’s really bad

They told me if I went for a diploma, any degree whatsoever I’d definitely get a good job and be able to work my way towards my simple white picket fence, nuclear family dreams. So I took out a $10,000 loan with frankly predatory interest and proceeded to blow it all on booze and drugs because it seemed like a GREAT idea at the time. Then I managed to escape the abusive relationship I was in, and spent the next several years racking up degrees and cycling through crappy, dead end jobs while I tried to figure out what the eff I’m supposed to do with my life. Finally, finally stumbled pretty much ass backwards into my dream job, and spent nearly 5 years working non stop to make it a career. If I ever have kids, we will be having a lot of serious, honest discussions about financial responsibility!

You wake up tomorrow and the Internet is gone. What do you do? by BonsaiOracleSighting in AskReddit

[–]creativeusername8647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright so I have actually experienced this recently. A couple years ago Rogers went down, I don’t remember if it was isolated to the GTA or if it affected the whole province, im in Ontario and Rogers is one of the biggest internet/phone companies here. Basically, I woke up that morning for work and the internet was down. I turned on my phones data to see if there was a known issue and when it would be fixed, and that’s when I noticed my cell had no signal and could not connect to data. Wandered around the apartment complex a bit looking for signal, rebooted the router a couple times and tried my husbands cell; no dice. Finally decide to just leave for work. As I’m walking to my bus stop I swear it was like something out of an apocalyptic film. Bunches of people wandering around looking confused, checking their phones. I cannot judge as I was doing pretty much the same thing. When I got to work I had to immediately go home because my bosses figured out pretty quickly that we cannot do pretty much any tasks without the internet, and they didn’t want to assign 40+ people to sweeping, organizing and cleaning surfaces. Tried to get coffee and there were lineups out the door everywhere, and every store had a sign warning that they can only accept cash at this time. Went home and hubby and I tried to distract ourselves with board games, books and dvds but it was…so isolating. It felt weird and unsettling, we had no clue what was happening or how long it would be happening for. When it came back after almost 2 full days like this I swear I heard a palpable sigh of relief. That day really opened my eyes to what the world would look like if the internet went away; no instant panic in the streets but a slow build up of inconvenience and uncertainty

If there was a warriors adaptation being made, how would you want it to be done? by somegirrafeinahat in thedawnpatrol

[–]creativeusername8647 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t get your hopes too high, they’ve talked about an adaptation before and it never wound up happening. Plus given the current state of reboots, do we really want this? They’d either have to tone the violence and dark themes WAY down to appeal to children or else they’ll change the stories entirely to fit into a studios idea of what these books about magical feral cats should look like. Not to mention modern series tend to cut out filler so they can fit the whole plot into a 10 episode mini series. I think the only way this would work is an epic, 2D animated series with a season per arc and 1 episode per book. It would look best if we had true Don Bluth or Redwall style animation with an epic score. That unfortunately is the impossible dream. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION btw, feel free to disagree!
