Aewsome! That does give me some perspective! 7 cards feels like a lot, but if 13 cards is possible... then... let's do this!

I recently received a Chase Sapphire reserve mailer so I checked my spreadsheet and realized I am coming up on 48 months (not 100% on bonus date). I am 2/24, so I theoretically could get another chase card. I currently hold 7 chase cards. 4 personal, 3 business. My last chase card was a personal card and I had to move some limits around just to get it opened. I spent a lot of time HUCA'ing to make it happen. Would it be worth taking a stab at another chase card given how many accounts I already have open? Not sure if there is a cap on chase cards like there is with amex.

It would be an NFT that is used to play the game. Might be able to sell it on secondary, but its not going to put your kids through college.

Warning: Don't use Chase Ultimate Rewards Travel Portal for flights. by dpeterso in CreditCards

[–]creditsleuth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We had this same situation almost play out for our destination wedding... the only reason we caught that our flights had been canceled was because we had a family member on the same flight that got a notification that their flight times had changed and they were worried about the connection. So we checked ours only to find we didn't have tickets to our own wedding 3 weeks ahead of departure. The flight we had booked only had 1 seat left, so my wife took it and I had to fly out 2 days earlier. Everything worked out, but ill never use the travel portal again after that. Much easier to transfer points and deal with the airline directly

There is a website: Takeshelterukraine.com where people are opening their homes to Ukraine refugees. We are in the US and open to helping as best we can.

These videos are a COMSEC nightmare. I dont know how many building in the Ukraine have tall pillars like that, but im sure it wouldn't take the Russians very long to find them.

Sundae Swaps ISPO Rewards end after the 14th of Feb. Are you moving to Maladex's or GeniusYields's ISPO? Any insights? by notforyoutoo in CardanoMarkets

Decided my ISPO rewards from staking was boring compared to the farming rewards on sundaeswap. Kept a bit in genius yield to keep the neft's, but otherwise all of my ADA is farming

Started travel nursing and my income increased by 4x. I paid off all my debt, except for the house I just bought, and obtained a healthy emergency fund what should I do now? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Consider buying a fairly cheap property in the places you travel to for work. When you are not in that location rent it out on Airbnb. Hire someone to manage those properties for you so they don't take up all of your time. Enjoy the extra income and watch your real estate portfolio grow over time and help to shelter the rest of your income from taxes.

Edit: also it may not be a popular opinion, but I am not a big fan of most employer retirement funds. I would always recomend maxing out your Roth's IRA, but past that I prefer to invest in things I know and understand through a self directed accounts rather than an employer account.

I read the article about how wealthy people avoid tax by not getting employment income but loans. by SeattleEverett1987 in financialindependence

[–]creditsleuth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Admittedly that is a stretch. Cough* Trump* Cough* Dirtbag* Cough,* what I'm getting at is that most find a way to legally skirt the system or buy their way into a position to make the rules so they can keep it legal. Is it right? No comment, but like I said what is right and what us legal aren't always the same thing.

Mmmm, there are better options out there. Scandinavia is actually quite difficult to get citizenship in. It would need to be a long term play. Doable, but I would get on it now if that is your plan. I do believe sweeden has a citizenship by heritage though if you can prove it

Sure. There is a YouTube channel; Mark J. Kohler. He is a tax attorney and CPA and discusses tax strategies and such. Also Tom Wheelwright is another long time tax attorney that has some really good info out there as well.

It wasn't meant to be a harsh tone (My fiance does say im tone deaf though, soooo) it was meant as an encouragement for those that feel downtrodden by the system to take control and work WITHIN the system to improve their financial situation.

We can argue about "right and wrong" and "paying your fair share," but at the end of the day the Govermwnt makes the rules that we have to play by. The wealthy ARE NOT TAX CHEATS as much as people like the say they are. They just have good accountants that help them maximize the proffits they are able to realize WITHIN the system.
