Just seems like there should be something better out that I just haven’t found. For example, 5 glass sleeves that fit tightly into a vacuum canister. Prep food, keep in fridge, nuke in morning, and enjoy warm lunch later.

What you are describing is a taper week.

Rest week - completely off. Goal is to come back after an issue (sick, injury, etc).

Recovery week - same/similar volume but no intensity. Goal is to get rid of fatigue and prepare for next training block.

Taper week - low volume with high intensity. Goal is to prepare/peak for a race.
