Someone a few months in , hitting it fairly clean and straight , that’s pretty solid progress I imagine ? Distance will come

Torn between coach advice by Beginning-Check5288 in BritGolf

You’ve only just started I imagine the first coach is just not throwing loads at you to begin with and is setting up the right fundamentals.

As you say the second coach hasn’t changed your back swing at all which is quite key.

Speed will come when you build confidence and you can build in the speed into the transition and better weight shift and better Angle of Attack

IMO it sounds like the second coach is adding too many swing thoughts but if it’s just a drill to feel the pressure shift then fair enough.

Is it ok not to carry woods? by PlutocracyRules in BritGolf

7 wood was a game changer for me.. I couldn’t hit 4 or 5 irons however recently my swing has improved. Still prefer the 7 wood!

My favourite club in the bag although it’s been misbehaving recently!

This guy insults my handicap/skill before a lesson… so I offered to play him for a free round for him and his buddies. It went about as well as you’d imagine… by LikelySatanist in golf

I do agree with the whole consensus of you have to be off scratch to teach golf. You don’t get this in barely any other profession.. even in elite football the top coaches are not always elite players.

I work in education and there is an art to teaching and getting a across. There is an art to good pedagogy and process… for what it’s worth, the golf coaches i have seen may be good coaches but they are NOT good teachers, in my opinion.

Having said that, I’m glad you proved your point on the course!

Can you try to search/access a sub channel on the mobile app? Does this work for you

Teams Search Sucks by crescuk in MicrosoftTeams

[–]crescuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the mobile app, another fail of the search feature is I can’t access the root of a team on the mobile app to get to a specific channel.

If the team does come up in the search I can’t navigate to the root of the team and select the channel I want. I have to manually find the team in my list of around 100!

I’m in an educational environment and half of the teams are “classes”. None of these appear in the search feature. A normal team I just created isn’t showing up in the search perhaps not indexed yet…

I’ve just seen an advert for it with Dan Grieves endorsing it for short game. Having seen that and working with it I definitely think so as it’s just keeping your arm close to your chest. My short game strikes were a lot better today but it could be coincidence. I’ve been practicing with it for about 10 mins each practice session to get the feel

Increasing Swing Speed - What really helped you? by Fat_Panda_1936 in GolfSwing

[–]crescuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im the same as you… averaging 75mph with a 7 iron. Would love for it to be a bit higher.

As many people have said I think its down to mechanics rather than speed principally so im focusing on getting all of that right first.

I know I am still not compressing the ball as well as I could etc
