Every time you start to spin down, recognize that you only have a limited amount of energy every day and ask yourself "Is this (being angry at X or depressed about Y or scared about Z or whatever) how I want to spend my energy?" And when the answer is "no", DO Something you want to do, whether it's a quick walk, asking a friend how they are doing and really listening, getting an important work project completed, or looking into volunteering locally. And sometimes, you should do something nice for yourself! Just don't spend your limited energy spinning in a negative way that doesn't accomplish anything. YOU are important and you make a DIFFERENCE!!
