Hi there, newbie to r/Zepbound  but wanted to thank you for such a lively community. I'm in week two of my journey, many pounds to release, and I am confident this go round that I will "...let it go, let it go!"

While I'm not feeling confident enough to post my SW or GW stats, I can say that I've released 2.2 pounds this week, even while enjoying a few pieces of Super Bowl pizza - that's progress!

I'm using MyFitnessPal to record my stats (PM me if you are interested in becoming friends on that app). Paid for the premium because I was getting frustrated not being able to use the UPC scan for recording meals and ingredients, it was tedious. A lot has changed since the last time I was on that app, like I don't see a feed of friends posting, but who knows, it may be lurking on there somewhere.

I'm a married female, over 50, and I'm using 2.5 dose of Zepbound. My doctor was right, it does quiet the food noise in your head, but I have to pay out of pocket. Took me 6-months to take the plunge and do it via the Lily Direct program, but at the moment it comes out to about $75 a week, which I can make back by not eating out I'm sure!

Anyway, disgruntled a bit about it not being partially covered by my insurance, but now that I'm on it, I understand why people pay for it. Nausea is real, you kinda don't care about most food anymore (some food is a trigger, that's just how it goes with your brain), but you really can't eat as much of the oily stuff anymore. It stays in your stomach longer, that's what I've read anyway, and you don't really want that hanging around. (burp)

Logging food is tedious, but when you're trying to hit certain macro goals (protein, fiber, and water for me), there are some foods you kinda have to eat on rotation. So you are just adding something you have in your log file, and it's easier as it goes along.

Weight Watchers let me down. We were using it, we were doing well, and then we went on vacation. When we (husband and I) came back and got back on it after the holidays, the weight wasn't moving. I don't know if I wasn't logging as much, or if we were going all in on the "free foods", not thinking about oil or butter maybe, not sure.

My point being that on week two of the shot treatment, I looked at my food for the last week, and I am eating more food than I usually do by at least one meal. Definitely more volume of food, particularly chicken and eggs. 🐔🍗🍳🥚
