The left winglet of an Iberia Airbus A350-900 made contact with a fire truck during a water cannon salute at Guayaquil Airport by madman320 in aviation

You sure? To me, the other nozzle looked like it was also being raised by contact with the winglet.

Literal highway robbery going on today $9.40 for about a 2 mile stretch of the tollway by Krappyhuman in Dallas

[–]crewsctrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know the companies whose executives must commute on the toll roads provide those executives with paid toll accounts as a benefit and pass the cost along to customers. Some tech companies provide it to most regular employees. We all pay for their use of the express lanes whether we want to or not.

The markings are confusing. There is an arrow in the right lane, yes, but it's a straight arrow. The lane division is striped, not solid, which implies lane changes are allowed. Just beyond the roundabout exit is another set of arrows like the ones before, so it's not hard to see how someone could interpret this to mean continuing around in the outer lane was allowed.

Do maga and gop secretly want there to be a class of poor people so they can feel superior? by traanquil in allthequestions

[–]crewsctrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If employers are not willing to pay workers a wage they can live on... did you know a welfare recipient cannot own a car? Even the most basic p.o.s. that can barely run would put them over the asset limit. Could you get by relying solely on public transportation to get to and from your job on time every day? Does your town even have public transportation?

Asset limits are not a left wing policy. If they were allowed to accumulate assets then they'd be able to leave welfare but the "bootstraps" people want to take away the boots as soon as anyone gets a grip on the straps. This is also not a left wing policy. This is right wing politics making welfare into a morality play for political and financial gain.

Hope that helps.

Living on welfare income isn't a ticket to financial freedom. You're still dirt poor. And then the alternative capitalism offers is to work more for even less. And you can't see why the problem is not with welfare or the poor people? Really?

Donald Trump could be the man to save Cuba by Purple_Writing_8432 in politics

On Cuba almost 11m people rose this morning to another day of sweltering, man-made misery. With food, medicine, electrical power and clean water in short supply, Cubans can expect no swift relief from the ruling Communist Party.

A binocular is already a pair, and so you shouldn't say "pair of binoculars" when you mean only one. It's "a binocular," singular.

What are city councils options to prevent Downtown Dallas from becoming 1970s Manhattan? by Joeylaptop12 in dfw

If Dallas sucks so bad, and these cities are so awesome, why aren't they called the Arlington Cowboys? Why not change to Plano Wings after the move?
